Quartet Pointer Stick Teacher Pointer Extendable to 24.5" Telescoping with Clip, Poket Size, Chrome Finish (V18001)

I ordered the two-pack and overall I really like these pointer sticks. They’re lightweight, extend smoothly, and collapse down to pocket size. The chrome finish feels solid and the built-in clip makes them easy to carry. Initially, one of the two pointers arrived defective right out of the packaging, which was disappointing. The other pointer worked perfectly, so it seemed like a quality control issue. Update: I was able to order a replacement quickly without any hassle. I’m updating my review to reflect Quartet’s good customer service.

Well....I was looking up cat toys and thought this was a laser pointer....I seriously (and stupidly) did. Surprisingly, our cat cat started batting at this pointer and playing with it. As far as it goes, this pointer is very sturdy and strong and you can feel its weight in your hand. Very compact and does not feel cheap at all compared to plastic ones. Our cat still likes playing with this thing, while extended of course. Nothing dirty intended, though our cat is a female so there's a joke there if you're looking for it. As far as using it as a pointer, I have used it about twice now, works like it should: pointed out the stuff I pointed at. We did end up getting a laser pointer and she loves that as well. She's a good cat, hyper as hell, but a good cat.

This is a super convenient gadget for giving presentations whether it is on a projector screen or briefing on a map. It is very sleek and fits in a pen slot without taking up a ton of space. Highly recommend.

I purchased this retractable pointer specifically to train my GR. I use it to just touch her or to hold it next to her so she learns to use her rear end. It is the perfect length and size, collapses down to carry in the training bag to class or to keep in my pocket. For my needs it was perfect - doesn't wash well (lost the tip) so remember to take it out of your pocket before you wash your jeans.

Perfect for what I was wanting it for, and so nice that it is so small to be stored, but then can be extended to such a long length!! Super versatile stick that can be used for whatever. Just make sure not to hit it against hard objects with too much force (my little child whacked it against a metal basketball goal and it dented the top pretty far in. Thankfully it still extends and condenses well enough, despite that)

Simple and works! No batteries needed. Fits in shirt pocket. Perfect for lectures. I teach college students computer programming. I use this pointer to point out and emphasize things on the projector screen better than using a mouse because the students see me walk to the screen and move my arms rather than look at their screens and try to listen while not looking. This pointer is also good for pointing to computer screens when helping students with their programs. I can point while standing behind the student and without taking over the student's mouse or keyboard. I recommend that you buy several of these just in case you lose it. I have one in my briefcase, one in my computer bag, and one in my drawer in my office. So far, I haven't lost one yet and I am getting good use of it during lectures and labs.
