I tried this out at my mother's house when my white shirt became stained after swimming in a brown river. After passing this over my wet shirt, and letting it sit for 5 minutes, my shirt came out looking brand new. And the printed design on the shirt wasn't affected at all. I would advise you NOT to rub this on colored clothing since it may remove the color. I also did Not shred this to put it in my washing machine - I just rubbed it all over the shirt like I was handing washing it. Though I did read somewhere that, if you want to shred it and use it a detergent, it would be One tablespoon for every gallon of water (depending on the load).
