Safe space for breeding
Great item. I gently scooped some eggs from the side of my tank and placed them in this separator. I now have a few more wonderful bronze Corys. Really chuffed, never managed to breed fish before as my Pleco always found the eggs. Well made product too.

Avoid for new hatched fry.
Not great for fry. Bought this as our fish have totally gone mad this year and had loads of eggs. After reading the reviews I decided to add foam to the bottom to stop the babies getting through the bottom. Well that didn't work and we lost every single one. Had several attempts with new babies but again all died. So sad.If you're going to use this I'd recommend for sick or fish that are at least 2 months old that can't get through the gaps, just not new hatched fish.Also, we lost one of our fish as it got stuck behind it.

It’s a good breeding box inside the tank
This box is great for isolating certain fishes/shrimps from your tank. It fits inside my tank. The slits are big, so small fry/shrimps will slip through. I use this mainly to as a temporary cull space to remove shrimps that I don’t want. I find that it’s better to place it under an air stone so that the fishes/shrimps you have in here have some air, as the water does get stale.
