Controls VQ2100 Portable Automatic Satellite Antenna

I bought this so I could have directv for my boat when traveling in it. I don't use it in or on the boat, I place it on the dock or land where ever I am tied up for the night and hook up the cable to my boat's directv receiver in the boat. Works great, you will not get HD channels, but I receive SD and locals which is fine for me while traveling in my boat. Very easy to setup (read the directions). I used to use a portable dish and it was a pain to setup and aim. With this unit i put it on level ground, aim the handle to an approximate north direction, hook up the cable to the receiver, push a button on the units controller and in about 4 minutes I am watching directv. It finds and aims itself to the satellites all by itself. Life is good!!! Great product, highly recommend!

Lengthy time required to scan and acquire sattelites.. Once acquired, reception is good,, any large trees in a southerly direction easily interrupts reception. The southern exposure needs to be clear to the horizon..It's a bit aggravating but a much lower investmentThan a marine gyro unit ( $675 vs $3500.

I needed a new satellite dish for my stays in my RV. I researched them & decided on this one. It arrived quickly and was packed well. Set it up in the RV in the driveway before the first trip. Had a question about it after I had it set up and called their technical support. They were very cordial & helpful. It locked onto the satellite easily and I was good to go. So much easier then the prior dish I had where I had to get it pointed just right. Just set this in a southerly direction with the handle pointing north. Highly recommend! It is also lightweight & easy to handle. Glad I took a chance on it!

This is a great unit and easy to set up. If you are looking to camp and/or tailgate this is the satellite for you
