Great product I have used the small handheld models for over 20 years and this works just as good and easier to see the numbers.

this is a great calculator for builders, but I recommended having a bigger display so you could see what has been entered . Measure twice cut once

Grudgingly ordered this after having to switch back to an older phone and the factory wipe removed my app only to find out it could not reload the app because CI doesn't support Andriod 11 anymore and wont allow access to older versions that did. This is a must for anyone doing desk work and currently using the app or pocket version. Larger display, larger hard buttons, much easier and more efficient to use. Hopefully more durable. Before going to the app I was going through the soft button pocket version at a rate of 1 per year.

Has all the features of the 4065 and the 4080 trig model. I also have the 4065 which is more portable. Not exactly portable but it's awesome!! All of the construction master calculators are incredible. Also they have a huge library of videos on YouTube and if you get stuck you can call them and there's always a person there that can help walk you through it. Great customer service. Every time I've had to call it's a real person here in the US. Can't say enough good things about this calculator and the company.

I bought a Construction Master III in 1993 when I built my first house. At the time, I was a general contractor. It's been decades since I have done construction professionally. But I have used the calculator periodically through the years for various personal construction projects. I bought the 4065 Construction Master Pro thinking there must be some substantial improvements over the last 30 years. It does have a few new features, but most of those are accessed using a combination of keystrokes which are difficult to remember. The markings for the alternate functions of the keys are very tiny and difficult to read. The manual, which is often needed to determine the keystrokes needed for a particular function, is difficult to get to. You have to pry the calculator out of its armor case to get the the manual tucked into the back. On my original calculator, the manual is tucked into a flap on the case, and is readily available for reference. So, I returned the 4065, and will continue to use my 30 year old calculator. In general though, these calculators are very useful.

Im a construction inspector and this thing saved my head

I’m writing this review 5yrs later! This is by far one of the best investments I have made makes my job easier. I am a carpenter concrete foreman so this calculator helps me out a ton when I need to order material and even when I am dealing with slope percentages etc. It’s awesome and can take a beating too it’s been in my bag pouch ever since.

Years ago when I was building and cutting roofs I relied heavily on Marshall Gross and a TI-35 calculator(IYKYK) and was able to calculate anything I encountered. Fast forward 25 years where work and life have taken me other places and I was no longer using Trig and geometry on a regular basis, my ability to calculate has diminished. It would probably be fairly easy to go back and brush up with the help of Roof Framing, but I decided to come into the light and try a dedicated construction calculator for a few planned fanciful construction projects. Enter the Construction Master Pro. I haven't had it long enough to attest to it's durability but I'm confident that the Construction Master reputation for quality is deserved. Fortunately, mine also came with an Armadillo Case, which seems like it will be great for protecting the calculator. I took it out of the box and started performing calculations with the included quick start guide, which stores very conveniently in the back side of the calculator. Keystroke sequences are not always intuitive if you are accustomed to using a scientific calculator for these calcs, but it seems that with a little more practice they will became second nature, and there are short cuts built in to the process for more advanced calculations. I'm looking forward to mastering this calculator.....I definitely recommend it's purchase.

Un mio collega possiede il modello precedente di questa calcolatrice e, dopo aver provato la sua ed averne constatato l'enorme utilità, mi sono decisa ad aquistarla a mia volta. Il prezzo è forse un po' alto, ma la facilità con cui ora riesco a gestire conversioni, somme e computi metrici per offerte è impagabile. Inoltre, guardando il libretto di istruzioni, sto scoprendo tutta una serie di funzioni che costituiscono certamente un valore aggiunto. La confezione, al posto del guscio di plastica standard, includeva un bonus, ovvero la custodia protettiva "armadillo gear". Questo accessorio temo che in realtà abbia notevolmente influito sul prezzo di vendita - la stessa calcolatrice, infatti, se acquistata in un negozio fisico negli US ha un costo di gran lunga inferiore. Ma io non volevo aspettare di andare ad acquistarla direttamente e comunque l'idea di una cover protettiva mi sembrava un'ottima cosa per proteggere la calcolatriche da danni da caduta quando sono fuori ufficio. E questa copertura in gomma effettivamente protegge la calcolatrice da qualunque tipo di urto, peccato però che ne aumenti l'ingombro in maniera quasi eccessiva, rendendo impossibile di fatto il trasporto in tasca. Inoltre, la custodia è larga e raccoglie quindi ogni tipo di residuo e polvere; il gancio dello sportello, infine, rende difficile poterlo aprire e si deve sempre operare con due mani. Quindi, questo mi impedisce di utilizzarla per lo scopo per cui è stata acquistata - ovvero una gestione facilitata anche durante le fasi di lavorazione. Dato il costo, ho ovviamente cercato di acquistare la cover standard separatamente (ora devo rimuovere lo scudo protettivo quando sono in posti senza piani di appoggio confortevoli) per avere una protezione seppur minima proprio nelle occasioni che contano, ma senza fortuna. Non posso quindi dirmi completamente soddisfatta. L'oggetto in sé è ottimo con perfette funzionalità ed un funzionamente intuitivo, ma l'imposisiblità di fruirne come pianificato ne diminuisce l'utilità.

it would s a high quality calculator that is easy to use, with the large buttons and display. does easy calculations for stairs, rafters etc, converts metric into feet and inches and back in one easy step.

I am really glad that I bought this and relieved that I could buy it in the UK. If you work in construction it would make your life easier. It takes some getting used to the range of functions however if you are a joiner the stair function and traditional cut roof functions are great. You can input metric or imperial although the inputs are more logical when done in imperial and use the American phrases for roofing and framing. It has a good instruction booklet however the you tube channel is the best resource. The quality seems to be very good but came with a tough case too. Well worth the money.
