What cable can be used to extend the range? (I have about 20' to go)

I used a pair of wires in a CAT6 cable for a 15'-20' run, works fine.

Without batteries how do you charge the remote controller? Is there an electric wall charger?

My Remote is hard wired. No battery needed.

How long of an extension can you run with the 18 gauge thermostat wire? I have the heating unit in the attic above the third floor and need 30 ft.

Not sure. I just put the controller in the attic next to the instant heater and set the parameters - on/off time for the recirculator and the temp (120 deg). Not sure its necessary to have it on the wall in your living space.
