This portable digital television works good considering the inexpensive price that I paid for it. I live in a small town which is 30 miles away from the local television stations and this unit receives the strongest signals that it can find. The picture is clear and sharp, and the sound is good. This unit must be setting still on a table top or it will not pick up the digital signal. You cannot expect to watch it while walking, or riding in a car. The digital t.v. comes with an electrical power cord, a cigarette lighter adapter so you can charge or use the unit while in a parked automobile, and it comes with ear phones for private viewing. It is a lot of "bang for your buck" in my humble opinion. There are places where it scans and finds channels, and there are places where it cannot pick up the digital signal. You have to try different places. I gave this unit 5 stars because I am able to watch the local weather while I am at work. It does exactly what I expected it to. I would recommend this product to a friend. ****For best results read and follow the instructions!**** Review: Limited Capability - This is a nice little TV but does not have a very good tuner. The price cannot be beat and I'd imagine the tuner is why. I go to the Desert,Mtns,and Beach and if youv'e got line of site you'll pull in (In my case) several channels. Excellent picture quality. It really needs to have external antennae capabilty. I also have they're 7" and it has an above average tuner and external antennae capability.After writing my 1st review I used some of my "Technical Skills" and am able to pull in 17 channels in North San Diego which is no small feat.Using a "Home-made" external antennae capability. The EPG capability of this little TV is more informative and extensive than my Brand New $500 flat screen. With digital, if the signal is weak there is no picture. Most digital broadcast is UHF (loop antenna), but the small sets seem to have the VHF (rod antenna) only. Adding to the confusion is channels using their old analog VHF channel numbers though they are now broadcasting on UHF. Example: In Washington D.C., the station calling itself (VHF) channel 4 is broadcasting on (UHF) channel 48. Another problem with digital is you have to scan to find a station, and if the antenna isn't positioned optimally, you won't lock that station into the set's memory. IT DOESN'T WORK!!! *by R***T on November 29, 2012* All I can say is...you warned me. How right you were. I received this piece of garbage very fast, within 3 days. I followed the instructions to the letter and...NOTHING! It kept telling me to press autoscan. I kept pressing autoscan and...NOTHING!!! I went outside with it and started the process all over again and...NOTHING!!! I went in the basement, on the front porch, to the park, to the grocery store, in the back yard, on the side of my house, in the middle of the street and...NOTHING!!! I tried it at work, at the coffee shop, at the bookstore, the bagel store, everyplace I went for two days and...NOTHING!!! It just continues to read, "PRESS AUTOSCAN". Don't waste your money.
