Was great for the first month we had it but now the CD part of it no longer works. Still able to listen to the radio but it will not play any CD, it's a bummer because we really liked it

This Is totally awesome and works great. I got this Stereo/CD player in less then a day and the sound works great. its easy to listen to. It uses 6 C batteries. So you don't have to keep it plugged in or can be used for a power outage. Love the color i got it is perfect. I would so recommend this to anyone trying to upgrade from a CD player or just looking for a fantastic deal. This is so it. The Instructions are easy to read.(not that i had to read them lol). I know in the future i would order this one again. And this is also very light weight so its not heavy or bulky at all.

Initially, I liked this sweet compact CD player. Top things I loved? It had a great sound, was not at all tinny sounding, and as this is something that one can't always find in such small units I thought I had gotten a great deal. The player was also portable and I could often set it up when I was working in small areas. It had the option to run on batteries when an outlet wasn't nearby. The player also had a great am/fm radio and even had an aux-in jack which I looked forward to using. The problem? It quit one week after the return window had closed. I was SO disappointed. Every time I put in a CD, shut the lid and pressed play, the word "no" would start flashing on the screen. Apparently, something wasn't making a connection. If you look on the other negative reviews, others are having issues as well. These players are being sent and are either defective right out of the box, quit after a short time, or else skip so terribly a person can't use them. Of course, it's always possible that these are flukes, but with the return policy window being as it is, a person does take a risk I think in ordering it and I don't think that I would recommend it to anyone.

Good sound in this little player, for the money, and the buttons are easy to see, BUT there is an inconvenience with the volume adjustment is not on top it is is low on left back side, and on and off switch are not on top, but are on the back too. Pretty red and it is cute, and I only want to listen to some Cd's. Too bad everything is not easy to see.

I didn't have too high expectations because of the inexpensive price, but this works fine, and has held up to heavy use by my daughter for the 5 months that we have had it. update: May 2015, We have now had this 1 1/2 years and after being used on most days it is still going strong. update: Dec 2016 , We have now had this for over 3 years and is still working and being used regularly on most days. update May 2018: Still working after 4 1/2 years, even with being used most days, my daughter loves this CD Player. update Jan 2020: Still working after almost daily use for over 6 years!

We listen to books on cd when traveling and need small units for hotels when falling asleep. This one has good sound, seems to be well made and a good value. RECOMMENDED John J Hogan

we bought this CD player 3 times over the past 6 years or so. They work well, sound good, are decently sized and are not overly complicated to deal with. Unfortunately, we've found that they'll work for a year and a half or so- then break. The player refuses to recognize any CDs and say simply "No" on the screen. In the past, I bought it again because of the aforementioned qualities (plus the price used to be better) but it doesn't seem worth the money.

This is my 2nd buy in 3 years. The first one played over 5000 cd's before it stopped!! (radio still works.) I listen to some 20 cd books a month, I've had the 1st one for some 2.5 or 3 years no problems ever. I used to go to walmart and buy Sony, Omm, and all the others there and in 2-3, 6 months, they're Double Done broke and gone. And this is cheaper than the crappie walmarts!! I bought my first NAXA because if CD players are going to break every 3 months with heavy use, buy the cheap ones. Then...the lowest price NAXA one lasted some 3 years. Go Figure? This is your CD player!!!

My mom wanted me to buy a CD player for my brother so he could read the kids books from the library with the CDs that came with them. I looked around here and found this. The price seemed a bit high but I was looking at walmart and it was roughly the same as well. I went ahead and ordered it. It arrived quickly and came in a smaller than expected box. I opened it up and inside was the CD player, the power cord and the manual. I picked up the CD player and it felt quite sturdy. I plugged in the cord and started to play around with the radio. Once you get the dial on the right station the music comes through the speakers quite crisp. I noticed the volume had a good range as well from low to high. My brother had a medium sized room and on high it was enough for his room and the hall way as well. The size of this CD player is just right and not too bulky. I have not played a CD on it yet but will update the review when I that happens. One thing that I disliked is the aesthetic of this CD player. It is not a huge issue but I felt like they could have gone with a more modern look as this CD player looks like something from the 00s . Other than that there are no issues and my mom was satisfied with this CD player. I will update the review if it breaks down or anything like that.

Perfect size, sound not bad ... especially for 50's cds, and worked right off the bat without any problems. I bought this to replace a larger more expensive one that just stopped working. The price was right and the reviews were good and I don't regret my purchase. Highly recommend this product for housekeepers who like to bop to music while working around the house.

Overall, it's ok for the price, except could there not be just a small, rudimentary remote control? My only really big issue with this machine is that the head phones don't work in the unit! It's playing fine, but when I plug in the head set, the whole machine turns off! That happens whether or not I plug in the head set first or after I turn on the boom box! What gives? I asked if there was a place to plug in a head set before I purchased and someone wrote 'yes'. It never occured to me that although the jack was there, it wouldn't work!!! Not a happy camper.
