We really like the size - the width is perfect, and the 9-inch length is long enough for any of our glasses and most to-go cups as well. And we also appreciate that they're made of glass for multiple reasons - first, there's absolutely no flavor, like you sometimes get from metal or plastic straws. And second, you can easily see if you missed a spot inside the straw when you're cleaning, which is very reassuring. They also feel very durable - I was a little concerned about breakage, but that vanished as soon as I opened the package and I could see how sturdy they are.I also have to mention how great it is that Halm is so committed to sustainability in every aspect of their business. It's really cool that they've made sure the glass they use in the straws is 100% recyclable, and that they focus on renewable energy during production (currently at 70% and working their way to 100%, according to their website!) And they also dedicate 50% of their revenue to efforts supporting cleanup, education, and research on plastic waste.
