Old World Beaded Bookmark [Peter Pauper Press, Peter Pauper Press] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Old World Beaded Bookmark Review: A First-rate Bookmark! - I admit it. I bought this on a whim. Originally I logged onto desertcart to shop for a nice bookcover; one with an integrated bookmark ribbon. And then I came across this beauty. Yes, it is overpriced for a piece of pretty cardboard. And yes, I did scold myself for buying it initially. But then it arrived in the mail with the rest of my order, and I must say, it is quite nice! The pictures do *not* do it justice. For starters, this is the best packaged bookmark I have ever seen (yes, a packaging for a bookmark!), it coming in a cardboard backed plastic sleeve. What makes the packaging remarkable (other than it exists at all) is the SKU/ISBN for the product is on it, not the bookmark itself. That means there's no bar-code sticker on the mark itself posing as an eye-sore or hastle to remove. A very nice touch for what you're buying. Secondly, the platic sleeve ensures the bookmark doesn't suffer an dings or damage on its way to you (or at the very least should greatly mitigate such things). Though mine shipped in a much larger box with other goods, the bookmark arrived looking fresh and unabused. As for the bookmark itself, the pattern on the oberse is well-printed and the gold ink really catches the light quite well, but isn't gaudy or obnoxious. The artwork itself (masterfully done by Heather Zschoch) has a charming old European look about it, which is ironic since it was printed in China... but oh well. The reverse is a plain velvety red, but has both 6-inch and 15-cm rulers printed on the lengh-wise edges. Meanwhile, the tastle feels substantial enough despite its relative thinness in the cord, while the bead has an element of fine (if imperfect) details about it giving it an elegant quality. Overall, I'm quite pleased with bookmark. It will work splendedly well for the job I have in mind for it. And while technically any scrap of paper, business card, or post-it-note would suffice for a bookmark, some books deserve the specal treatment. And let's face it it, sometimes you need to treat yourself to something superflously extravigant, like for instance a $3 bookmark! Review: Nice item - Nice looking works great

A First-rate Bookmark!

Best bookmark I've ever owned!
I absolutely love this bookmark! So much so, that I purchased several of them for different books I am reading at the same time. It is affordable, and really well made!

Quality Print But Rather Thin - Very Detailed
This bookmark is beautifully printed. The design is crisp and very detailed! The tassel is a nice touch and matches the colors of the print well. I use this while reading survival adventure novels and it only feels right, but I wish it were a bit thicker. Being careful and using the protective sleeve, this bookmark should last good a long time. I also wish that the print were on both sides.. but still not bad for a unique inexpensive bookmark..

it doesn't bend as most plastic feeling bookmarks do, it's really pretty and comes in a nice 'casing'

Segnalibro in cartoncino plastificato, arriva all'interno di un portasegnalibro, in modo da non essere rovinato durante il viaggio. Carino e stampato molto bene, per 3 euro ne vale la pena. Spedizione amazon velocissima.

Wasn't expecting it to be that thick or with the weight on it you'd hear it fall to the ground, I wanted different looking bookmarks for different books, and I was very impressed with this particular bookmark. I'd buy more if I didn't already buy extra and I'm only one person who can read so much in a day.

Beautiful design and the finish is stunning. Proper cardstock finish. The beading is superb as well.
