I have found the adapter is pretty finicky for the power source used. Most of my battery packs seem to not work well even though I only use higher end packs. I have also found some car USB charger adapters will cause an interference line in your images. The camera wll turn on with any battery pack that I use, the issue is the camera shuts down while shooting in bulb mode which is needs for long duration astro-imaging with repetitive shots using an intervelometer.I have found that my portable battery packs that are Quick Charge 3.0 compliant seem to work reliably with this adapter. I also found that I have a USB car charger that is USB QC 3.0 and it works well as well.
