It has bouncing sounds when you jump on it. It's not needed to function properly, only for sounds effects. **Q: Can you leave it outdoors as an outdoor toy?** A: I wouldn't recommend it. Ours broke down after only a few months due to use and weather. The styrofoam that protects the bars breaks down and the bars rust. Also, the netting deteriorates. After leaving ours outside for about a year, it's completely come apart. I uploaded photos in my review. **Q: What size would I need for a 10 year old - 65 pounds?** A: I would advise you to go with a different brand as I returned this one because my 30 lb. 3 yr old bent the leg just jumping on the 60 in. one. The metal is very flimsy and is just poor quality overall. **Q: Is this trampoline weather proof** A: I would say it's not fully weather proof because there are bungee cords and Styrofoam used it this make. We are going to move this undercover when the weather turns nasty again for this reason.
