I needed an in between set of weights and personally prefer a rubber handle over metal. These 7.5lbs fit the bill. I have no issues with the coating …there are no cracks or seams affecting the dumbbell. The handle is thicker than my 8 lb metal weight but that is not an issue for me. I like the shape because they cannot roll when you put them down. They were packed well and are holding up nicely.

These weights are well made, and easy to hold. I’m very happy with them. They make a great addition to my other weights.

They are good enough. These 5 lb weights do get slippery when you sweat because they are totally smooth and shiny. They were a good price and have worked fine so far. No odor, they are weighed accurately, average size that is not too bulky. I started with 3 lbs and needed a bit more to continue with strength training. Probably will go with something with a textured grip with the next ones.

If you buy those big heavy ugly uncoated iron weights (not these), sometimes you'll look at them and think "Forget it, I'll lift them some other time". Because that type of weight can feel cold and rough, and if you only get the heavy ones you may view them as hard to get started/motivated. The point of getting weights is to use them, not to buy and feel macho looking at them sitting in the corner, while they collect dust. These weights come in a variety of sizes and colors, they are very attractive and feel good in your hands. I bought the 8 pounds (each) red and the 12 pounds (each) blue. The reds are nice to get started in your workout, if you are a man you'll likely find them easy but that's the point - they get you started easily, they don't intimidate you or make you feel like they will be an ordeal. After starting with a low weight like the reds, you can move to the blues or whatever you want, however you want. I would guess that women will want to start at much lower weights than the 8 pound reds, and fortunately those are available too at great prices and attractive colors. I found the weights to be nicely finished, though there were some minor spots where I chose to sandpaper them down slightly to be even smoother. I wouldn't say that this is necessary but you might want to consider doing it. If they made some 16 lb dumbells I might consider buying them too, but as of now I'm very satisfied with the 8's and 12's. They do have some nice looking 15's (forest green) but I'm not sure those are enough of a bump up from the 12's to be worthwhile for me, and the 20's would be too heavy for what I want. Overall these are a tremendous value, especially when you consider the free shipping from Amazon on what will be a heavy package.

The dumbbells I bought are not heavy enough at all. They feel much lighter than expected and are not suitable for the type of workout I intended to do. I’m disappointed with the weight and expected a heavier set.

Le revêtement des haltères est un plastique qui n'a pas la sensation agréable du grip silicone, surtout quand on transpire. De plus il est fragile sur les coins, je pense qu'on verra la fonte à force de les manipuler. J'ai reçu des haltères plus légères de 600g que le poids annoncé. Cependant je les garde par rapport à leur prix.
