Perfect!
These work a charm, the whisk does a great job of thoroughly frothing the matcha, the bamboo scoop works great as well as the spoon and it's just a great set for anyone starting out trying matcha, I would recommend using a fine siv to make sure there are no lumps in their tea and let the whisk do the rest! The set is extremely sturdy as well being bamboo.

Solid option
Great price and good option compared to other products. Iโve used the whisk for about 5 months and can say that it has begun to mold (with proper upkeep), so it needs to be replaced likely after ~4 months of use

Iโm Having Troubleโฆ
Iโm only taking one star away because I cannot be certain if my issues are with the chasen or with the user (me). I canโt get a foam going no matter how I try. I do get little flecks and droplets of matcha flying everywhere. And yes, Iโm using my wrist, not my shoulder to generate the movement. (Iโm sure you were gonna ask; I would have.) But just because my technique is technically correct doesnโt mean Iโm truly doing the thing properly. It also means I cannot accurately evaluate the whisk. So Iโm only deducting one star to be fair.

Split chashaku, Damaged Chasen.
I wasn't expecting much at this price point, but I'm disappointed that the chashsaku was split, and the node and handle of the chasen arrived damaged. Otherwise seems to be really good quality.

How to stop mold...
Mine is holding up just fine. About a dozen of the whiskers bent at the extreme end during the first dozen or so uses, I removed the bent ends with a pair of tweezers, and havenโt had another bent end in months. I got some mold around the string area, I assume this is a problem with all of these whisks, even the finest, see the Ocha video at YouTube showing how they are made. No more mold since daubing with a cotton swab a strong citric acid solution on the string and and on the prong area near it. Food grade citric acid is nontoxic, and the rest of the bag can be used to demineralize hot water kettles, etc.
