I’m obsessed! This fabric is beautiful and was the perfect choice for my dress!! It’s medium weight and is a rich brown color. It was very easy to sew, but the edges do fray. I ironed the seams with a press cloth and they look perfect! I’m buying the orange color next!

After watching the Halston biography series, I really wanted to make some clothing pieces of ultrasuede but could not find any yardage in my price range, given I am just an amateur sewer. I had a bad experience with a similar looking fabric from another seller - it looked and felt cheap, and bled color badly when wet. This fabric was much better. This fabric looks and feels almost like high quality ultrasuede at a fraction of the price. It has a front and a back side, unlike real suede. Unlike real suede, it can fray so I cut it with pinking shears and serged the borders. It was very easy to sew with, and I had minimal problems with the fabric fraying. I tested the fabric for colorfastness by running hot water over it. The water initially shed off the fabric quite well, which I wasn’t really expecting and this pleased me although this isn’t water-repellent fabric. Then I scrunched the fabric in hot water to saturate it and left it overnight on a piece of white fabric to test it for colorfastness. It did not bleed at all on the underlying white fabric. Still, I would recommend washing it delicately in cold water if it must be washed.

Nice fabric, pretty color, but has zero stretch as mentioned in the description. Just a head's up to anyone who needs a somewhat stretchy fabric.

I will use this for a Tote Bag. It is a sueded or brushed twill upholstery weight rather than an ultrasuede type fabric. The price should've given it away, but I am always willing to try something that is cloe to Ultrasuede at a less expensive price. This will work great for a tote bag, just not in the same application I was looking for. I feel a bit baited and switched however as it was not too expensive I will not complain. The fabric description didn't say it was a sueded twill just a microfiber suede.
