Brawny Tear-A-Square Paper Towels, 16 Double Rolls = 32 Regular Rolls, 3 Sheet Size Options, Quarter Size Sheets

At first glance these are a bit pricey and I thought a little gimmicky. I can't honestly remember why I went ahead and bought them. Good marketing I guess, way to go guys. lol I was very pleasantly surprised. The only negative thing I can say is the perforation to tear the half size towels into the two quarters is not centered, so not really quarters or even both squares. I know. I know. I know, that is probably one of the most "Karen" complaints on the planet. I know! It really has nothing to do with the quality or function of the papertowel, and could very well be an error in the batch I happened to purchase. For some reason it does irrationaly drive me nuts. My own insanity aside this really is a great product. We use a lot of papertowels in my house, nearly every room has a roll. My daughter is a painter she likes the "quarter" size to dry her brushes when switching colors. Her and her sister also use them on their makeup brushes. Plus, you know teens are just slobs. My husband keeps them in his man cave and the garage. He's pretty meticulous about keeping his tools and space clean. Doesn't stop him from eating like a cave man in his man cave but he at least uses the paper towels as a napkin and cleans up after himself. Sorry ladies,all the good ones really are taken. lol Naturally, there is also a roll in the kitchen and bathroom. Like I said we use A LOT of paper towels. Everyone likes the size options and the quality of these is great. The are very absorbent and dont easily fall apart. As for the seemingly high cost..... Pay it Normally, I would buy the competitors equivalent every month and possibly still run out before my next delivery. I really wasn't expecting much different from these, surely the "quarter" size option wouldn't really make a differnece. I was very very worng. They were delivered on June 25th, today is Aug 21st and I still have 5 rolls left in the cabinet! It doesnt take much to figure out how much more cost effective these are than the competitors, and pretty comparable to the bargain brands. Its really a no brainer.

Brawny paper towels are as strong as the muscled beefcake on the package. They work great at scrubbing up nasty messes off countertops, tables, the floor, etc. And now that they are perforated into four squares per sheet, they also make nifty napkins for the family when fancy linens aren't required. And they are just as absorbent as they are durable, so one towel goes farther than other paper towels on the market. Do they cost more? Sure. But you get what you pay for, and these are premium grade towels that aren't going to disintegrate in your hands when you're trying to clean. So spend the extra cash and get a quality product that goes the extra mile. You'll be glad you did!

Let me say out of the gates that our household usually buys environmentally friendly paper products (WhoGivesACxxx - fill in the x's, yes it's their name!). Not just because it's posh, pool or whatever but because trees are finite. I also love my supplier who builds toilets for those in need and has done a lot of charity work. Besides recycled paper/bamboo products we use cloth cleaning towels as much as possible. So why am I reviewing AND purchasing Brawny paper towels? Well, thanks to COVID, a bunch of people bought out the supply from the company I use and that meant we would be stuck without. There are times that we have needed a disposable/compostable item and we like having them for guests who are used to them. These are even better than the full sheets or half sheets. I didn't realize when I made the purchase that these were the "tear-a-square" version but I am glad that they are. When we do use them, most often we tear them into the smaller squares which definitely has saved us from using a bunch at one time. Even as a small square, they are reasonably absorbent for a paper towel. People have to realize that if you want big absorbency, just switch over to a good cotton kitchen or cleaning towel. Paper/cellulose is only going to do so much by volume and for the price the absorbency this provides is much better than a lot of the products on the market. In my home we have separate kitchen towels and cleaning towels (: I never thought I'd say that. I definitely was the kiddo who grew up with paper towels all over and I'm betting I wasted my share. I have used most all brands here in the US also. Having used these for a couple months now, they do get the job done when wiping down a basic smooth surface, picking up sticky messes, detailing the car, removing automotive chemicals from the engine area and doing a few arts and crafts! My only complaints have been that they do tear awkwardly more often than not. Would I buy them again? Maybe! I do prefer products that are more renewable and environmentally friendly. If Brawny incorporated recycled post-consumer paper products when making them I definitely would consider them.

I love that these not only have the tear a square on the length but also can literally be be torn into a square. So you can choose 1/4, 1/2 or the full size of a traditional paper towel. I feel like this has help us cut down on waste. They are very absorbent. I wouldn’t call them soft but they’re paper towels, not toilet paper. I wouldn’t use them to blow your nose and especially not your kids nose. I use these for eating, cleaning the kitchen, cleaning in the bathroom, especially for gross jobs that I don’t wanna reuse a cloth for, like the outside of the toilet. My husband doesn’t like when I give us each a quarter size when we eat but it’s plenty. There’s no reason to waste. These rolls last me a good long while and the towels are tough enough to be wrong out and rinsed if you’re doing a bigger job. The only drawback to the size options is if you’re trying to use all 4 squares like a traditional full size paper towel, it will often tear on the perforation. But I rarely need a single towel that big. It’s usually only if I’m trying to cover a large plate for microwaving. I’ll wet the paper towels wring them gently and the cover the food to keep it from drying out during reheating and for a full sized plate, the paper towels come apart. These are great paper towels though. We ran out off schedule and my husband bought a different brand and I hated them. They were significantly thinner which meant they didn’t absorb as much and they tore easier. I also feel like these are much less linty than the other brand I’ve tried. Still wouldn’t clean glass with them, but less paper lint for sure. Please hit the button if this info was helpful.

POSITIVES: It's great to be able to get a 1/4 sheet to use as a coaster, cocktail napkin, or small mess without having to tear a 1/2 sheet raggedly. It's absorbent and relatively strong for a paper towel. NEGATIVES: It's not as strong as Bounty and leaves paper towel fuzz behind when you use it to actually do anything except passively absorb liquid. For example, if I get grease splatter or a drip from a utensil on my ceramic cooktop, I have to use twice the amount of Brawny paper towel. The first paper towel wipes up the grease or drip but leave a ton of fuzz that I have to use a perfectly clean damp paper towel to gently and carefully wipe off - stroking only in one direction and never putting too much pressure on the paper towel. The same thing happens when I clean windows or anything else that shows the fuzz. I used Bounty exclusively before Brawny and never had this problem. One Bounty paper towel could be used, rinsed, reused, and rinsed and not leave any fuzz behind. The Brawny is strong enough to rinse and reuse to work on a larger mess, but the final wipedown has to be done with a brand new paper towel (or I have to get a dry dishcloth out of the cabinet to wipe the surface down after I've already cleaned it, which really defeats my purpose in using a paper towel in the first place).

These are thick, absorbent, and the tear-a-square option helps reduce waste. Great for kitchen and cleaning use. Pros: strong, absorbent, flexible sizing Cons: pricier than generic brands Bottom line: High-quality paper towels that last.

I’ve been using tear-away paper towels for as long as they’ve been available. I’ve usually bought whatever was handy or lowest price with varying degrees of success. Although noticed was that although sone were more absorbent than others I figured the sales prices vs higher priced brands sort of evened things out. But even the 1/2 sheets I felt wasteful and every brand I bought seemed to tear raggedy and I always seemed to get almost a full sheet and then I’d tear off the rest an throw it away because the roll looked raggedy. (I’d grab one to wipe waterspots off fixtures etc) THEN I FOUND THESE! . They’re fabulous- They’re super absorbent and I don’t feel wasteful because I get what I need and I never have ragged excess looking sloppy. They’re so handy I often take a bunch of the little squares with me and I keep them in my car, and my desk and my coat pocket because they don’t take up a lot of space as a huge roll would. (I confess they’ve wiped many a runny nose in the winter and they don’t fall apart! I’ve been so happy that I tell all my friends (and that’s embarrassing- I feel like a commercial l) I will never buy another brand. Sometimes the subscribe and save schedule brings them a little earlier and I just give rolls to friends so they can try them- and that truly IS embarrassing. I’ve never received payment or a free sample of this product for review. These paper towels are simply JUST THAT GOOD!

Great quality, I’m not disappointed at all. And I do appreciate the ability to easily tear of a quarter sheet rather than just a half sheet like most brands offer. It’s a New feature that I’ve never had, although have found myself doing often with other paper towels. I find the absorbency to be good. They’re not out-of-this-world but they are more than adequate and of decent value. Overall I’d say it’s a great buy.

Quality is far better than I expected for one of the cheapest paper towels on Amazon. The ability to rip into squares is great for reducing waste!

These are great paper towels that absorb well and pick up grime. They are pretty durable too and I love the 3 sheet size options. The only downside is that I feel these are a bit too expensive.
