Seasons Old Lantern

I was in desperate need of a cool looking lantern to finish the props for our recent haunted house. We set up a cemetery with a grave digger to walk the groups through and he absolutely needed a lantern. The looks of this device were perfect for what I wanted. It takes a few batteries in the bottom and has a durable base and battery compartment cover. The only thing I wasn't real happy with was the light bulb. I didn't expect this to actually put off any light (not useful light anyway), but the tiny bulb didn't serve my needs. (((I actually used one of those battery operated tea lights that flicker like a real flame to give the lantern a live flame appearance. I removed the bulb that came in it, and fastened the flickering light in its place with 3-m double stick tape))) All in all, this was a good purchase of a sturdy product that arrived in a timely manner (I live in England and mail comes via military postal system so sometimes can be very slow). I recommend this lantern if you are considering one as a display or prop.

Very nice product. The fake rust on the lantern looks very rustic and realistic. The light inside turns out to be an LED and it's smaller than I expected, but it still produces an adequate amount of light.

I scored these things for really cheap, like 6 or 7 bucks each. I bought a couple. These are great halloween props. They look very authentic. The LED bulb is repetitively bright. It would be better if it was a little more yellow in color and flickered like a candle, but I can't complain for the price or the overall appearance.
