But if you read the science it makes so much sense and shows how key nutrients support the incredibly resilient body. My 3 year old son has been on the NP for 4 months and it has played an integral role in bringing my va((ine injured son back. Within three days he was speaking in full sentences and making eye contact and today he is talking so much and so clearly, telling jokes, socializing appropriately, and thriving in every area of life. I have no doubt that there are so many other effective healing protocols for children in need but if people want to start somewhere NP is affordable, accessible, and so easy to implement.My only issue with NP is that it does not address the heavy metal toxicity in our children and it’s rigidity on avoiding this detox leaves a lot of parents worried one of the root causes is not being addressed. I also did multiple coffee enemas, colonics, as well as 12 of the Amazing Liver and Gallbladder flushes. The only thing that seemed to help were the coffee enemas and Liver and Gallbladder flushes, but sadly they were only temporary...it seemed like no matter how many I did, I wasn't actually healing. I vividly remember being completely crushed when I diligently followed The Body Ecology Diet, thinking it would be my answer, and in fact it made my IBS worse after 2 1/2 months of following it to the letter.I got an extensive thyroid panel as well as various blood tests, but everything was normal. I was at my wits end...and then my mom handed me this book.This book has literally changed my life!! Within just a few DAYS of quitting all probiotics (including foods), and taking inulin and fish oil, I felt and even LOOKED so much better! 2 months in and I was completely healed - no more bloat, constipation, acne, and fatigue. I could also tolerate foods so much better...sugar, caffeine, grains, everything.Today I still feel pretty great, unless I stray from the protocol. Following it exactly gives me the best results.A few things to keep in mind:- Make SURE you get good olive oil. It can make or break your progress.- The inulin worked for a few months, and then I had to switch to taking Xifaxin. As an adult, you may find the same is true for you.- be careful with taking any extra supplements...I've been taking some iodine as of late and I think it messed me up when I tried to increase it (from my reading, it seems like I was probably detoxing, or maybe the batch was bad, idk. Just be careful). The author also talks about many supplements on the market being fraudulent.- be prepared to have some "emotional releases" during the first few weeks/months of staring the protocol. It's weird, but I had some days where my emotions were all over the place. I also feel my emotions much more strongly now, in a good way!
