I'm currently replacing rusty floor pans and rocker panels on a 1955 Chevrolet sedan and I spent the first weekend using a wonderbar, chisel and screw drivers that ended in a lot of frustration. While ordering some replacement bits to grind out the spot welds, I saw this tool and decided to give it a chance. It is amazing how effective it is at splitting panels not to mention deforming the metal just enough to make the ancient spot welds visible. For some of the spot welds, this bar was tough enough to just pop them apart though I don't believe it is meant to be used like that. I wasn't sure if I'd need it or not, but it turned out to be the best tool. It was super easy to use for my project and I believe much easier and stronger than the flat head screw driver I was planning to use. I'd definitely recommend to anyone doing automotive body work that has to separate spot welded sheet metal.
