AKM 1/4-inch Drive Dual-Direction Click Torque Wrench Set High Precision Wrench with Buckle (20-180in.-lb / 2-20Nm)

I just use this infrequently for my bikes, and it has worked well. I don't have a precision tool that I can use to compare accuracy, but it was not too far off at least in the range I use it judging by feel. It's easy to use and conveniently has both imperial and metric scales. For my infrequent use this has been a great value, and perfectly met my needs.

As a home bike mechanic having a torque wrench is very important. This one is really good value for money and includes everything you need to work on your own bike. It is pretty easy to read and includes markings for Newton meters as well as foot pounds.

All markings are set for Newton meters. Ball detent on ratchet not as strong as most ratchets, sockets fall off. Color wears nice. Break away at torque limit is nice. Grip for ratchet is comfortable. Lock for ratchet setting is firm and easy to adjust.

Torque wrench hard locked up on first use, failed at under 30 inch pounds, was no where near the max on the tool and it froze the head, it would not work in either direction, I think the ratcheting paw is what failed, but did not take it apart to find out for sure. Dont Waste Your Money.

Bought this to use on my bike. Super critical torque values on carbon frame bikes, don't want to crush anything. Easy to use and I really like it.

The first thing I noticed about this set was the smell of burnt plastic when I opened the case. I put that down to it being new and I shall report back with an update on that. Secondly some of the bits were loose in the case when it was opened, probably due to transport and delivery however the cheapness of the blow molded case doesn't fill me with confidence for the future security of the bits. (-1 star) The wrench itself fits snugly and will not shake loose and that is what we paid the big money for...right? The numbers on the wrench are easy to read in good light and the torque setting is easy to adjust, however at lighter loads the locking collar is easily dislodged and the torque setting can slip during operation. This can be overcome by adjusting my grip on the handle of the wrench away from the collar. The wrench functions as expected and will let you know when the desired torque is reached with a definite snap, but no click. The reason for taking off another star is the excessive amount of play between the drive and the bits. There is a little play in the ratchet head but most of the wiggle comes from the extremely cheap bits. I would recommend investing in a separate set of bits for use with this wrench. In summary, if you only need a torque wrench for occasional use then this may suit even though it has a low budget feel about it. However, if you use a torque wrench more frequently I would look elsewhere, maybe in the next price tier up or beyond. Additional comments after multiple uses. The burnt plastic smell has dissipated as I expected it would, but the cheapness of the included bits still keeps this product at 3 stars. The wrench performs well and I continue to recommend it for occasional use as stated in the original review.

The first one I received didn't work but the seller provided a replacement. I haven't checked it out yet but hopefully, it works better.
