Dear Shivangi, Thank you for contacting WaterScience. Cartridge comes with a timestrip ,you need to put it on your CLEO Shower Filter /CLEO Multiflow Shower Filter. You need to activate the timestrip by pressing button present on the timestrip. Timestrip indicates time to replace your cartridge. Regards Team WaterScience

How often should i clean it n how should i clean it

The cartridge can be easily cleaned using 'reverse-flushing' - installing the cartridge upside down and turning on shower or tap at full speed for 5 minutes. All the impurities inside get flushed out. Detailed instructions will given in the user manual.
