We left the cone on for all of 20 minutes and decided on putting the recovery suit on. She was still loopy and didn't make a fuss with me putting it on her, and hasn't tried to take it off or mess with it (though I did catch her grooming herself, just licking the suit, not realizing it wasn't her skin and hair). She has used the restroom once, and I double checked the suit after and it seems like the company that designed it really made sure that they could use the bathroom without making a mess, her suit was completely dry and clean. The medium size says 4.4 - 8lbs, and it is a little too loose on her neck, but she has a small neck and head so that's on us, not the sizing. Everything else fit perfectly. I can't tell you how much of a relief this inexpensive alternative is to me, I was dreading the healing process, and it makes me feel really good that my cat is as comfortable as I can make her. Review: Comfort, and cute. - I like this surgical suit as it is not only for cats, but small dogs. I have a thirteen pound, dainty boned Miniature Poodle undergoing spay, and it fits her very well. I like how it is not skin tight on the tummy so it doesn't irritate stitches. It also discourages other dogs Poodle from investigating, and bothering stiches. The third benefit it is psychologically beneficial for loved ones, especially young children who find surgery especially upsetting because they do not understand such things. Thank you, have a great day

RELIEF!! This product is a godsend!
My kitty Tucker had to have surgery to remove a mass from his intestines and came home with a feeding tube. The vet sent him home with a hard cone which he was NOT happy about. Not only that I didn't feel comfortable having the hard cone on his head possibly pushing against the feeding tube. So I switched to a soft cone which worked a little. Unfortunately he was able to get the soft cone off and he was not happy whenever it was on. I settled on putting a scarf around his midsection in an effort to prevent him from licking his incision but he was still able to get to it. Then... I found this gem! Tucker is a feisty kitty... not one of those mellow cats you always see in the demo videos online so I was anxious I wasn't going to be able to get this on him, especially with the feeding tube. But... thankfully he allowed me to put this on him with little resistance and it doesn't interfere with his feeding tube. Now, I'm able to relax a bit and go to work. He's able to move about, not reach his incision and go to the potty! Highly recommend!!

Worked well, but...
Our male cat wore this after abdominal surgery to keep him from licking the stitches. It worked well for him because he doesn't groom excessively, but I can imagine that the thin material is no match for a really determined kitty... Putting it on the cat was a breeze because the fabric has a lot of give and the knitted neck part is soft and flexible. He was able to use his litterbox without any troubles. I would have given this 5 stars but after less than a week of use the stitching on one side already came apart.

Post surgery perfection
Our cat had to have a large abscess drained and was sent home with a drain tube and a cone of shame. My local pet shop suggested a baby onsie to keep her from pulling the tube out but we had a hard time getting her in one due to 1. It's not easy to get a cat into a onesie on a good day and 2. We didn't want to hurt her more by cramming her in to one so I I ordered this. It was the perfect answer. The velcro on the back made it super easy to get on her and she didn't seem to mind it at all. I think she may have actually enjoyed it. When we took her back to get the tube removed the vet thought it was great too and wanted to know where we got it. Luckily that is all behind her now but she's so cute in it she may find herself all dolled up again.

Medium is super small!
I bought the medium for one of my smaller cats who is recovering from surgery and won't wear the collar. The medium was WAY too small and wouldn't allow my cat to walk. Too bad that I can't return it as it is already dirty from my cat's wound. Do NOT Recommend!

Not meant for cats who overgroom
My cat licks himself to the point where his fur falls out, before I bought this I had made a recovery suit myself which lasted a good month but didnt cover his stomach all the way so I bought this thinking it would be perfect! The first thing I noticed was how thin the fabric was, I already knew it wasnt going to hold up. My cat didnt even wear this for A DAY and he licked right through it :( I ended up throwing it away and putting the one I made myself on him. I really was hoping this would work but it didnt... sorry to leave a bad review.

Worthwhile purchase!
I am really glad I purchased this for my little girl kitten. She didn’t have to wear the dreaded cone of shame. She never messed with her stitches or seemed to want to. It did take her awhile to get used to it but she did. We put it on her a couple of days before the surgery to help her get used to it. She healed beautifully. Went to the bathroom without any problems. I lent it to my friend for my kitten’s sister’s surgery and she did great with it, as well. Worthwhile purchase and I recommend it.

Bless my poorly cat who had a skin condition where he chewed out all his fir. 6 months later he now has a beautiful coat and it’s thanks to this weird cat baby grow! He did walk backwards whilst wearing it but he thanks me for it now!
