It's the best all natural edge gel that actually keeps it hold all day and smells wonderful and natural of Rosemary and Mint. I know guys usually use thus stuff but I have shoulder length hir and simply use a dab just in the very front to keep my hair back out if my face and it works perfect!

This is not your average size gel so if you're expecting the full size norm you'll be very surprised it's a tab bit larger than a Jell-O shot cup but it does work very well it'll be hard to get the product that the jar if you have nails and toothbrush will not fit in there they brush you for your baby hairs we barely fit in there it's not very greasy and it does control well

We bought this gel because my husband wanted to try something different for his hair. He usually uses hair gel, so this one caught our attention because of the rosemary and mint, plus the nourishing ingredients it claims to have. Overall, it’s not a bad product. It has a pleasant scent, and you can tell the ingredients feel higher quality. It also helps keep the hair in place without making it overly stiff, which is a plus. However, what we didn’t love was the application. It doesn’t spread as easily through the hair as other gels we’ve tried, and it takes a bit more effort to distribute it evenly. That can be a downside depending on your hair type. Overall, it’s a good product with nice ingredients, but that small issue makes a difference. That’s why I’m giving it 4 stars. I would still recommend it if you don’t mind spending a little extra time styling.

Revision 05/14/2023: I am still using daily the same 2oz container of Rosemary Mint Edge I purchased in December, 2022. A tube of conventional hair gel would normally last me two months at the most. I can see this lasting at least until July. Amazing product! ------------- An update to my original review below. I started using this product in December being very impressed by the Rosemary Mint shampoo, oil and masque I had previously purchased. Although the gel is in a 2oz container (without tamper proof protection - which is disconcerting) I have to say that just a little goes a long way. I use this daily and it will probably be the beginning of March before I need to purchase again. So with my usage it probably lasts three months. Although this appears to be marketed for women and particularly those of African descent - Mielle's Rosemary Mint products are suitable for ALL hair types, regardless of race and gender. I am an aging Caucasian male with fine, thinning, grey hair and my wife is Asian with strong thick hair. We both love the Mielle Rosemary Mint range of hair products. My method of applying the Rosemary Mint Edge Gel: after shampooing and while hair is still damp, take a very small amount of the gel spread on fingertips and tap or stroke it over combed hair. Comb again to style. When hair is dry, comb out. Result: a natural soft style without the glue-like residue or brittleness of commercial gels. Use of the Mielle Rosemary Mint range leaves the scalp clean and refreshed. I highly recommend this product but wish that it would come with a tamper proof seal. --- Previous review below --- The Mielle Organics Rosemary range of products are generally wonderful. The shampoo, masque, rosemary hair oil are all reasonably priced per quantity and quality. I ordered the Rosemary "Edge Gel" which only comes in a 2oz size and costs $6.99. It arrived without tamper proof protection and appeared to be around 5/8ths full which caused me to wonder whether someone else had sampled it along the way. An 8oz tube of conventional hair gel costs around the same. The product works fine - but miserly in quantity and therefore too expensive. I would suggest that Mielle Organics at least double the quantity for that price. I am also puzzled why they market their product as "By women for women". That cuts out a good portion of the population. There is nothing overtly feminine about the herb Rosemary - which has been in popular use as a medicine, topical application, cleanser and culinary herb for centuries.

I have 4c textured hair and I’ve been using this edge control for years, and it always holds my edges down. It doesn't turn hard or flaky like some brands I've used on the past, and by the end of the day, my edges are still laid down.

Didn't hold my natural hair in place. The jar is small can fit in the palm of your hand. I used half the jar on one hair style. I even used a head band to hold the hair in place until it dried. The smell is a little strong like the rosemary mint shampoo by Mielle

I like the product, it does not leave white flakes after it is dry. Love it!😊🌺

This product actually works on split ends n helps strengthening my hair. The smell is divine.
