just used it today to help speed up a rear brake/rotor job. worked as it should. I expected it to be more of an impact type action, but it isn't, as far as I can tell. I will read the manual to see if I messed anything, but this currently does not act like an impact socket or driver.

Seems like very good quality for the price. I've used it a few times on different vehicles and it has been durable and easy to use. Only time will tell how long it will actually last, but so far the last few months, it has given the (much) more expensive brands a run for their money (pun intended).

My only 2 gripes with this thing is how big the ratchet head is and how quick the battery dies. Im a mechanic who does many quick look overs on cars so i probably take off like 8 or 9 air filters a day. With my craftsmen ratchet it almost seems like ive never had to charge it and the head will fit anywhere. with this one im fighting cars for space consistently and the batterys dead in a week. Do i consider it usable? Of course. But is it my 150$ craftsmen electric ratchet? Nope. If you have the money and would use it frequently. don't cheap out. Otherwise this will be great. EDIT: After 2 years I gotta hand it to em, Its a great ratchet. You won't like it for variable speed (as it doesn't come equipped) but for a clutch dump it's handy. My craftsman ratchet is dead but this one keeps going. I bought a long reach hercules ratchet from harbor freight that I genuinely like more (more of a low pro head, variable speed, and higher RPMS) but I gotta say, this ACDELCO ratchet is better than you expect it to be (plus it comes with a socket set). Perfect wrench for a DIY guy and even holds up for professional use.

Just received this new ACDelco ARW1209 3/8" Ratchet Wrench last week. WOWWW, this is one SOLIDLY built ratchet! It feels heavy-duty and very well-made. The product manual says the tool weighs 1.96 lbs., but it feels heavier than that! It's a tad bit on the noisy side, but it works great! It's rated up to 45 lb-ft. max torque, and that seems about accurate based on my use so far. It ratchets both clockwise and counter-clockwise so you can remove and tighten bolts and fasteners. I haven't had the chance to use it extensively on any large repair jobs yet, but just trying it out on a few bolts, it works great. When you press the variable-speed switch, an LED light illuminates and points down toward the anvil. This is a plus and gives you some extra light for working in poorly-lit places. The included 12-volt lithium battery (Li-ion; 2.0Ah, part #AB1207LA) came with almost a full charge, so it only took a few minutes to top it off with the included charger (part #ADC12US07-99; 100-240V input ~ 50-60Hz, 30W, Class 2). The tool is very well packaged, complete with printed user manual, illustrated parts list, and warranty sheet. ACDelco has really upped their game with this new ratchet! I am very happy with my purchase so far. I will update this review after I've had a chance to use it more extensively on a big repair job. **UPDATE, 3/14/2019** - Reporting back after having used this ratchet on a brake repair job. It worked great and was a huge time and effort saver. I used it to remove the lug nut bolts, brake caliper, and bracket bolts. The torque was plenty adequate to remove all bolts once you break the bolts loose. I was able to remove & replace all fasteners without having to recharge the battery, so it had plenty of power and "oomph" to get the job done! In short, the ratchet works great and I would highly recommend it!

I've only had this item for 2-3 weeks and used it 2x so I will update review as time goes on but for now, its everything I wanted from an electric ratchet... When tightening items, it will automatically stop when it has tightened as much as it can. I assume this is to prevent the motor from damaging itself but at this point, if you need bolts tighter, you can manually use this as you would another ratchet up to 100 FT lbs according to the box which is awesome... 1st job i did was an oil change and it easily broke loose the oil drain plug. I also used it to install an exhaust system which made it so much easier to install and a lot less physical work for me! I Had to take off a few 16mm, 14mm and 13mm bolts. it was able to take off most bolts with out manually loosening them first. all but the 2 13mm bots attached to my downpipe. I used a torque wrench and they took more than 95 FT LBS to break loose so this tool was never going to break them free on its own LOL . Once free I then used the ratchet to take them off quickly The best part about this tool is that you can use it manually to loosen/tighten bolts to 100 FT lbs and then use the motor to unscrew/screw them super quick. I believe this is the intention of this tool - to MANUALLY loosen bolts and then use the motor to get them off quicker and same for putting them back on - use the motor until it stops and then MANUALLY tighten bolts more if needed. I feel manually breaking bolts loose will greatly extend the motor and battery life vs using the motor to break them loose but this is just my opinion. The tool was heavier than i initially expected but it is also very sturdy and seems very durable as well. Theres not much else to say, its an electric ratchet at the end of the day haha Ill update this as time goes on and I use it for more auto jobs but for $68, I am happy with it thus far! Worth it. Almost as strong as my snap on one, use this daily. The sockets were thrown in a drawer but the ratchet is self is great. Holds battery for days of use.

I work in a crash repair place and I use this tool every day. And still work like new even after all this months, the battery life is decent and the tool is very strong, yes I already dropped many times and still works fines. I think for the price the tool is excellent and I really recommend. The only bad point in my opinion is the speed, but apart from that is excellent.
