Green Arrow and Black Canary's walk down the aisle has devastating consequences for the Justice League, the Suicide Squad and more in Injustice 2 Volume 2, exploring the world of the bestselling fighting game Injustice 2! What seems like a rare moment of peace and celebration is turned upside down when Damian Wayne performs a weddingday kidnapping of the children of Arrow, Canary and Black Lightning, with the help of his grandfather, Ra's al Ghul! Now Batman must work with a Justice League Task Force that includes Batgirl, Steel, Blue Beetle and even Plastic Man to take the fight to al Ghul's hidden lair! But Batman's immortal villain has protectors of his own, including a Suicide Squad of Harley Quinn, Animal Man, El Diablo, Poison Ivy and an impostor Batman! And if they aren't able to stop the real Batman, Ra's has another plan that threatens the world, as a sleeper agent sets his sights on a presidential inauguration! Injustice: Gods Among Us writer Tom Taylor (Batman/Superman, The Authority) and artists Bruno Redondo (Batman: Arkham Unhinged) and Daniel Sampere (Batgirl, Green Arrow) shift the balance of power in this actionpacked collection of Injustice 2 #7-12, 14! Review: I can't remember the last time a comic book made me so happy - I bought this book for the canary and arrow wedding, I love those two and grab anything I can find with them in it. When I finally sat down and read it though, I was pleasantly surprised in so many ways. The book had so many great characters from my childhood: batman, atom, wildcat, blue beetle, deadshot, and even harley quinn but older, more mature, and with their own kids. The story was great, and easy to follow. The action was exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat, and the book was funny! Plastic man and his son's expressions and dialogue with batman got some laughs out of me. And catwoman even made a cameo. The cursing is sensored, and there's no extra adult content so you could buy this for your kids to, which I think is important for some comics. Glad I discovered this series and will keep passing onto others. Review: Thanks - I like so Much this history

Ra's Al Ghul Steps Up his Terror Campaign by Crashing Black Canary and Green Arrow's Wedding
Tom Taylor remains at the top of his game with the second volume of Injustice 2's comic series. With Superman defeated and imprisoned (and as we know from the game not due to get out until Brainiac shows up), Taylor delves into DC history for new super threats for Batman's team to face off against. Following after the first volume, the current threat is Ra's Al Ghul who has kidnapped the Suicide Squad and even allied himself with heroes like Vixen and Animal Man who have special bonds to nature. Opening with the funeral of Ted Kord and the marriage of Black Canary and Green Arrow (again?), things sour quickly when Ra's forces kidnap Conner Queen and the children of Black Lightning during the wedding. Batman and his team aim to get their loved ones back (including the newly revived Alfred) and to cut the head off Ra's operation. As this is Injustice, however, things don't go as the heroes expect. The book includes great character moments from multiple faces (including a great reintroduction to Ted Grant's Wildcat) but the absolute stars of the book have to be Plastic Man and his son. The sequence of Batman picking out Plas' son among all of his furniture is one of the best and reminds you that Taylor has a great handle on these characters.

The story continues and it's pretty good
Injustice 2, Volume 2 DC, Collects issues 7-12 & 14 Opening scene. Ted Kordโs (Blue Beetle) funeral. Ted was executed in the previous volume at the orders of Ra's Al Ghul. Green Arrow proposes to Black Canary at his gravesite. Itโs complicated. Read previous volumes. Cut to the wedding. Batman exits in a rush, arriving at Wayne Manor. He finds Damian holding Alfredโs corpse. Things get worse when super villains crash the nuptials. Shock! The heroesโ offspring are kidnapped by the villains. Cut to Damien with Alfredโs corpse, descending into a Lazarus Pit, โI can bring you back.โ Raโs Al Ghul threatens Batman and crew, โStay out of our way.โ Batgirl steps up, saying sheโll lead the rescue mission because the others are too emotionally involved. She need one specific hero โ Plastic Man (and his son Luke). They join the cause. So does Blue Beetle. Animal Man tells Daimian that he sided with Raโs after witnessing all the species heโs saved from extinction, โIโve felt their loneliness as they disappeared.โ The Bat team infiltrates Raโs sanctuary. Harley Quinn flips sides, joining the heroes. Batman and Damien throwdown. Alfred intervenes. Alfred negotiates peace when things go to Hell. Diablo accidentally sets the sanctuary ablaze after being attacked by Blue Beetle. Cut to the Presidential Inauguration, Aqualad reveals his true agenda. His tidal wave towers the Washington Monument and drowns the US Government. After condemning Batmanโs opposition, Raโs reveals alliances with Gorilla City and Professor Ivo. Booster Gold arrives to counsel Blue Beetle. Meet President Black Lightning. Book ends with Bruce Wayne on trial. I welcome the next volume. Best quotes: Green Arrow after being shot, โBulletproof tux. Iโm a practical romantic.โ Harley Quinn, โThese are the kind of people who would beat a nun to death with a puppy.โ Plastic Man referring to Batman, โHe really does have a heart buried under all that Kevlar and grimace.โ Harley Quinn when Conner shows his power, โOh snap. The Green Canary.โ

Bananas In the Best Way
This volume might have the most high-octane, nonstop action in it of the entire Injustice series so far (including the original 5 years of the first series). A ton happens, but the crux of it involves an infiltration mission by Batman and crew of the Ra's al Ghul's base. A lot of minor characters get time to shine, including Plastic Man (one of my favorite characters from a side story in the first series) and Wildcat. My only gripes--and they are minor--is that a lot unfolds extremely quickly, and some of this could have used time to breathe. But ultimately, this is still one of the best series put out by DC in a long, long time.

BEST GRAPHIC NOVEL SERIES!
I thoroughly enjoy the storyline and character evolution. It's interesting to observe our favorite super heroes growing have such differing opinions. Definitely a lesson to be learned from this series. Do we ever really know who people are?

Injustice 2 Vol. 2
Ra's al Ghul has kidnapped the children of the Justice League. Batman authorises a rescue mission in the Amazon, leaving the President unprotected in Washington DC. When a devastating attack occurs in America, Bruce Wayne is tried for his complicity in an assassination. Fantastic artwork and a fascinating plot with plenty of twists, Taylor keeps the readers engaged at every level.

Cheaper for hardback than kindle??
Bought as a gift for my brother- made sense to buy it in hardback as it was cheaper than the paperback and kindle versions. He seemed happy enough with it and it was a decent size book for the money
