can you control the pressure with this directly?

Yes, you can. In manual mode you can control the time and the pressure; low, medium or high. Much easier to control than a stove top pressure cooker.

Just got mine today and see that the inner pan is slightly tapered. Can anyone recommend steamer inserts that will fit ? A lot seems to be 21cm.
