I believe these are the best fishing nippers out there. With the built in "carabiner" you can hook them pretty much anywhere making them convenient vs looking around for scissors or pulling pliers out of some kind of holster. I have noticed over time they seem to dull a bit after cutting braided line a lot, but it takes a while. I will continue to buy and recommend this product.

These are handy little snips, pretty well made but they feel a little light to me. I bought the longer blade version and like them alot better. No issues with cuttingfifty pound braid and mono. Tried some heavier braid with these saltwater heavy snips and it easily cut it but not cleanly. I don't have much call to cut heavier than fifty pound test , if I had to choose one I would definitelyget the long blade version, much easier to use and I am sure it would cut higher than fifty poundbraid.

I have had it only a short time so rating the durability is impossible.

This works really well. I couldn't stop cutting braided lines for a long time because it was fun to cut. Great product.

I''ve gone through a ton of scissors, pliers, and line clippers/nippers paying up to $150 for one off these super duper do it all pliars/cutter and $50 for a Simms guide nipper. None of them ever stay sharp after only a couple of dozen cuts regardless of how thick the lines are. The most irritating is that they NEVER can cut braided line. The Boomerang is outrageous. I've used this thing for two seasons now and in saltwater as well and have yet to have something I haven't been able to cut yet. And the price..........well that says it all. This line cutter is really the only line cutter you will ever need. I like the smaller fresh water version because I found the salt water version a little to cumbersome to use. But anyone buying this tool will absolutely not be disappointed.

This item came in a plastic bag from KEY-BAK, not the the packaging that I see in the brick and mortar tackle shops. That made me think this was possibly counterfeit. I had to search online to find that it is actually the same company. So minus points right away for the packaging. After inspecting the item, it felt very cheap and of poor quality. The blades and handle wobbled in the casing. That probably doesn't take away from its functionality, but it does make it feel cheap. Next, pulling back and securing the handles to "lock" the blades closed did not work as well as it should have. I was expecting the handles to "snap" into a locked position to give a more tactile experience so that felt it was securely locked. Additionally, just bumping the handles caused the handles and blades to open up. This is a problem since the reason for the purchase was to use this on my kayak and it is bound to get bumped and jostled in that scenario. Furthermore, opening up when not expected may cause things to get cut by the blades accidentally. Finally, the carabiner clip felt too cheap and fragile. I have retracting tethers from Booms Fishing that have metal clips that feel much more sturdy. I really wanted this to work since it initially seemed like something good to use on my kayak. I will have to stick to scissors for now. If Boomerang would fix their design and make a sturdier product, I would be open to purchasing at that time.

Does not seem to be very sturdy. Overpriced for what it is. I did not like the plastic clip on the end of the leash. Maybe an aluminum type clip would be better. Does not appear it will last very long. Feels cheaply made. Sloppy play between the cutters and plastic housing. I would not recommend.

Great little tool. This by far outbeats any cutting pliers. It holds it's edge very well. Small and light enough to carry on you. Goes through braid and mono as if they were sewing thread. Many times I thought i had a weak braid but no it was the tool that made it seem as if I had a weak line.lol. thank you highly recommend

Quality and design feels like it will last 2-3 weekend trips and will fall apart. Plastic case is as weak as piss and should be more impact resistant . I’d rather pay $20 more and get a product that lasts than throw away $30 for a inferior cost cutting cheesy product that’s clearly out of china .
