Inexpensive and work OOB... Plug and Play... Amazing
I had a broken Gateway laptop, the screen is 15.6" by LG LP156WH1 (TL) (C1), I wanted to turn it into a monitor with AV input for my kids to watch movies in the car, this should fit right in between the 2 front seat and portable. I found this controller board with AV input on Amazon, a shot in the dark because there are many controller boards out there, especially, mine is 30Pin connector. The box came quickly from Prime, well boxed, all cables are connected to the main board. All I needed was to plug in the 30 Pin LCD connector and the back light power. Found a 12V block with 2A output, plugged it in and the screen was black until I turn on the power, select the correct input and the screen displayed perfectly, amazing. I've never had to adjust the brightness. Unplugged the power and plugged it back on, it remembered the input, it's perfect for my car monitor, I can hide everything but the power and the video input.
