Buy Hostile Takeover: A John Lago Thrillervolume 2 Reprint by Kuhn, Shane (ISBN: 9781476796192) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Wicked! - Picture Mr. & Mrs. Smith at The Office. Even the banter is alike. The dynamic between John and Alice is pretty cool. Yeah, they're married, and yeah, they're often trying to kill each other. Literally. They really do seem to love each other though. The amount of times I laughed was equal to the exciting parts. And yet, I feel like a continuation of the series wouldn't be weird. It would be welcomed, at least by me. I love this series, and pray to the literary gods for more. I just can't get enough! These books keep me thoroughly entertained. Review: Sold in UK as "Shoot the Messenger" - Good book - but be aware this is an American version of "Shoot the Messenger" - of which I now have two copies - which will teach me to read the description before just ordering

Loved this book and the others in the short series. Would make a great movie or TV show (the violence would have to be toned down quite a bit). Held my interest and kept me surprised with all the twists and turns. Very dark though so not for everyone. Just enough humor from the main character to help offset the violence and darkness.

This book was amazing and just as action packed, suspenseful and humorous as the Interns Handbook! I took away a star because I think the plot fell just a little bit flat, especially as compared to the first one. It was by no means slow or pointless, but it seemed like a desperate attempt to keep these characters lives going. It starts off great, and it's similar in style to the first because we are being told about the series of events through the main character as he's being interrogated in prison. However, I think what bothered me was the fight between this husband and wife duo. What brought them together in the first place seemed to be destroying them in this one. Overall this was a great book, and if you liked the Interns Handbook, then you should give this one a try!

This was a fun read; but like all other books with heroes with amazing skills the protagonist's abilities are a bit over the top.

But so very well written! A very fun and twisted look at black ops and how love between devious people can add a great dimension to reading!
