I had to burnish the edges with very fine sandpaper to smooth them out a bit. Very nice though. **Q: What gauge is this pick?** A: Yes, as other says, it's stiff, but not "fat", mine, assuming consistency are just under a mm, maybe, 0.900 -ish. I play copper, steel, brass and all sound very different. I tend to gravitate to this one though, of many brands. I use many types, even Nylon 0.38mm which accoustically for me switch off nice with these. Sometimes, as I get tired, I switch to these. But when just starting out, fresh use the 0.38mm. These are not like the hard to find Ice Pix, thin copper that flex a bit and have a "grip" slot cut in it. Those were favorites, but this one has stuck as all around, for acoustic or electric. Note: I only use the "Round" end on any pick, always have, --the I don't pick a Pic based on "flexibility", or thickness... One Pick Only. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My new go-to picks *by A***E on December 14, 2013* So for about 10+ years I have been using 2.0mm Gatorgrip Dunlop picks. I preferred the inflexibility of then when playing (I also use .11s for strings). In having an emerging interest in metal picks I tried these copper picks and few others. While thinner the lack of floppiness made them super smooth for me. The one 2.0mm Zinc pick I also bought from them was too much. The edges on these aren't sharp like some other metal picks I've seen from other brands.The sound is bright and clear with an electric. I would recommend against using with an acoustic, as the pick making initial connect with the strings is pretty darn loud and sharp sounding.I will be buying more of these soon. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Metal Pick! *by C***R on April 27, 2022* I never tried metal picks before (not counting pennies and other coins here and there), now it’s my favorite pick! Maybe for fast-picking Black and Death Metal tremolo style it’s not the best, but for Blues and playing chords — the sound is great.It makes the notes ring very nice and sharp, but pleasant to ear. Other picks sound muffled in comparison. It’s quite rigid and doesn’t bend, but also not very thick. It seems they will last for a long time. Get nice, smooth and polished around the edges from playing. Comfortable to hold, metal smooth texture actually doesn’t slip as easily as untextured plastic.Now I am curious to try the brass version.I say it’s a must have if you are a Blues player. It certainly feels and sounds like no plastic pick. I would imagine that some might really like it and some will really dislike it for its feel and sound.
