The package instructs you to remove the outside film before using BUT there is NO film on the case to remove. The case ALSO has scratches on the image and the side of the case as if it has been dropped or something while on someone else's device. Even though the 7plus case is the same size as the 8plus case, I received a case for the iPhone 7 plus. If you are a stickler for the design of the hole for the camera section of the phone case then this might be a deal breaker for you. (1 hole for 7plus versus 3 holes for 8plus to accommodate the lens and sensors separately). I decided to keep the case and just add rhinestones around the sides to cover up the deep scratches. The description of this case should mention that the case comes with the thin protective film, which is meant to be peeled off. Another reviewer wrote that the case arrived scratched and it was likely the film because that’s what I thought too.
