We got them to go with class Valentines--glued beads on the handle to spell each kid's name, then tied the spoon to a mini box of cereal--and they are a wonderful way to give something fun without handing out candy on a sugar-heavy day. They do change color, just perhaps not as dramatically as the picture shows. Still very obvious color change, which is fun.
