Exact fit
Works great. I found a video online that walked me through the replacement procedure. Took about 20 minutes. This is the second one I’ve replaced. Got 3 years out of the last one, not bad. The cost is low and the fix is easy so 3 years is acceptable. Definitely beats the cost of replacing the whole thing or hiring a guy to do it for me. I also bought the wrench this time since I figure I’ll be doing it again. That was a good idea.

Saved me a lot of money
No need to have the water softener repair man fix it. Worked great and is still going. This will be my annual fix since the price is right and easy to do.

Worked perfectly for Clack WS-1 softener
My softener was failing on the brine draw and after a bit of trouble shooting realized it was the seal pack / piston being the problem. This kit is for a WS1 and it was identical to the parts from my unit and solved the problem. Tip: buy the special wrench to make it easy for yourself - I just zip-tied mine to the softener after i was done so i can find it one day in the future.

Stopped The Leaking
Got this slide and spool for my aging water softener that was leaking internally and driving my household water consumption up (which was costing me in higher water bills). It was a direct replacement, was easy to replace and stopped all the internal leakage on the Clack valve.

Great quality part !
My water softener was leaking from the drain line. I watched several videos on YouTube what it could be and how to fix it! I ordered this set, as well as a special tool, and in 5 minutes everything was fixed. This part fits perfectly and my softener doesn't leak anymore!!!

Ok, but shorter lifespan
The seals failed sooner than usual. The parts I used to buy from a plumber lasted about two years, but this set lasted only one year.
