Tasty
These butter beans are genuinely great quality โ big, consistent, and they cook down into that perfect creamyโsoft texture without falling apart. Theyโre reliable, which is exactly what I want when Iโm batchโcooking something simple while working in the studio. They hold their shape in stews, take on flavour well, and have that nice โgiant beanโ satisfaction that makes a meal feel more substantial.I like that theyโre dried rather than tinned โ the texture ends up better, and theyโre easy to portion out. Good for Mediterraneanโstyle dishes, soups, or just a quick protein boost. Solid product, good value, and something I actually reach for regularly.

A versatile if unloved bean
delicious and good value for money , requires at least overnight soaking and at least two hrs cooking (to get a soft plump texture that melts in your mouth )a nice flavorful untextured bean, good quality for the amount ,a basic white colour which will absorb the majority of sauces or just plain with salt and pepper and a little butter..

not worth it - bitter
I got these in Jan and had them for a few months ands just cooked them this week. I soaked them for 12h and then boiled them for almost 2 hours on the stove til tender. While the consistency was excellent, the taste was vile. It was so bitter I could not even bring myself to swallow it. I am not sure if the beans were extremely old or if somehow it was a bad batch, but it was horrible. I had to bin the entire 500g batch I had cooked and hoped to freeze and use through the week. Not worth the money either, get tinned, it's a lot more convenient and at 40p to 60p per tin in most supermarkets, it is most definitely as good a great value and wont turn out bitter.

O.K.
Skins remain a little resistant after ample soaking, perhaps it is normal for 'giants;. Otherwise fine.

Good price, could be fresher
I am an expert bean eater and the beans I got were not particularly fresh. They worked out ok for me as I cook them in an instant pot and that makes all beans much easier to digest but if you cooked them in conventional pot they may end up a bit hard and difficult to digest. It may have just been the batch, I may buy again to check as the price is good.
