Best glass screen protector out there! *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2019* If you have a 2018 iPad pro and have tried a glass screen protector or researched the topic at all, then you are all too familiar with the issues with poor touch performance. The exact cause is still up for debate, but my guess is the thinner digitizer layer when compared to previous models, meant that Apple programmed in a lower sensitivity for the panel. This combined with more aggressive palm rejection algorithms, leads to the terrible performance with most tempered glass screen protectors.There has been an update in iOS 12.2 that aims to fix the issue and most report that it is resolved, but for those like me, who have jail broken or the few that still encounter issues, even with the supposed fix in the new iOS update, nothing beats a thinner glass screen protector. And that’s exactly what this is, a super thin glass screen protector. All the screen protectors out there claim to be “ultra thin” or “extra sensitivity”. (You’d swear they were trying to sell condoms if you didn’t know any better) but in reality most other screen protectors fall somewhere around 0.3-0.45mm in thickness. The last one I had that worked the least bad, was the Omoton screen protector and that measured somewhere around 0.31mm as verified by calipers. This thing measures 0.25 as measured by calipers. It really is one of the thinnest on the market and that makes all the difference.I never encountered issues using the pencil in the past, but touch performance was always a mixed bag and sometimes more than others I would get more or less missed touches and choppy scrolling, but no matter what there was always some form of poor touch performance. With this screen protector I haven’t noticed a single jump once I installed it properly and used the procedure I describe below. I use my iPad for writing and video editing. This thing has made me fall in love with using my fingers with my iPad Pro again!Installation:First important thing is to clean as many times as it takes and install once as, trying to clean dust after the fact is always a recipe for disaster. Next make sure you turn on your shower at the hottest temperature and shut off the AC, fans or anthing that might cause air movement.Once you have the screen protector installed and have used your finger nail as a pressure point to remove any air bubbles, this next step is important to ensure maximum touch performance. Even though you’ve now cleared all the visible air bubbles, slight imperfections in how the clear conductive adhesive is sitting can still cause touch issues. find an extremely smooth and straight rolling pin or a straight stiff ruler.Lay your ipad a stiff supportive surface (DO NOT DO THIS ON A BED, PILLOW, ETC, YOU WILL BEND YOUR IPAD), if using the edge of a table, ensure the camera bump hangs off the side of the table, so that you are not applying uneven pressure. Now take your rolling pin or stiff ruler standing up and apply a gentle, even sliding pressure along the screen. Go vertical, then switch directions and go horizontal. Repeat this about 4-5 times.Congratulations, you’ve now installed the best screen protector you can get and your touch issues should finally be gone!TL;DR: An amazing screen protector, one of the thinnest on the market, if installed corrrectly, touch issues completely disappear. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Major Improvement! *by O***U on Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2019* I bought the tech armor ballistic glass screen protector back in November but it had some issues. Randomly the swipes wouldn't always work and it was usually around the edges of the screen or I would miss letters when typing on the iPad. It was still usable but it was frustrating when around 8% of what you do is missed. With normal use it was mainly the typing that was the issue. I had read in the Amazon reviews that Tech Armor was releasing a new version of the ballistic glass for the iPad Pro 2018 in March so I waited and ordered a new protector. Huge improvement. I've only been using my iPad for 3 days but I haven't missed a letter or swipe yet. It feels more responsive as well and it just goes to show how the thickness of the old screen was causing issues. This protector is a little high. My only nit pick is for the price we should get 2 in case we mess up an application or a frame. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Meh *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2019* I buy tech armor every phone I get, so I figured why not for my iPad as well. Normally I have absolutely no issues with installing these but this one did not go off without a hitch.It came with these suction cup thingies that I felt were cumbersome so I didn’t use them. I cleaned off the screen, double checked it for stray hair and dust from multiple angles. Put it in and immediately saw two air bubbles near the edge. NBDI tried everything to smooth them out but they’re not going anywhere. One is very small but the other is annoying. Evidently there was a hair (small one) and a stray dust particle (annoying one). I can’t fix it without completely removing the screen, and I’m not spending $20 on another one.I’ve never had to be in a microchip factory environment to install these on a cell phone. A tablet has a lot more surface area, true, but I’m not totally thrilled by this either.It’s not the product but there should be a way to adjust the install adhesion time or sth for issues like this. Sometimes you don’t know (don’t see) something is there until it’s too late.
