**Q: Is there plastic in them?**
A: No there is no plastic in them. I would have never purchased them if was. I  make my own bath and body products so, I use the small ones and the large ones. I am very please with the product. 
I hope this helps.

**Q: can this work for coffee, finely ground?**
A: I have heard of people using these tea bags for coffee with success. I would suggest you try a small pack of 50 to test first.

**Q: Thank you. Is there plastic in the fibers that we would be consuming when heated with the tea in the water?  If there is plastic in the fibers?**
A: The teabag are biodegradeable

**Q: The description says they are made with thermoplastic fibers. What does this mean? Is there plastic or synthetic material in the bag/heat seal? Thanks**
A: These tea bags are biodegradable after 90 days in a land fill

So, I read the reviews on these before buying, and took the chance. No idea why other people were complaining, these were great. Easy to fill, and sealed easily with a hair flat iron on high setting. Once sealed they hold together in hot water just fine.
