You can get it in any color you want as long as it's black if you select black
This thing is comically durable. I actually think you could run over it with a Ford F-450 super duty and it wouldn't have a single problem with it AS LONG AS it had the cap on it that being said. But it works great with every computer I plugged it in it still works great I loaded it up with a VINtoy and use it to install ISO files into my computer for various operating systems and it has had no errors you can get it in any color you want as long as you buy it in Black when you select black LOL just like Ford said. The portability is great. it is absurdly Tiny it is probably an inch and a half long or 38.1mm and the speed was good part of the benefits of it being so armored up with plastic is the heat dissipation is actually pretty good. and it handled heat pretty well without slowing down very happy with it

Great for storing data in a fireproof safe!
I bought these flash drives for storing some data in a fireproof safe. The safes are typically rated not to exceed 350° F internal temperature for a specified amount of time and are primarily meant to make sure that paper documents are not destroyed. While this flash drive has an official rating of up to 300° F, it seems to actually function just fine up to 350° F. I filled the flash drive with data and baked it twice at 350° F in the oven for 1 hour each time (and did it again with a different ToughMAX flash drive for another hour). The data on the entire flash drive survived without any corruption based on hashing it before and after. There was just one caveat - after the first one hour of baking, the plastic within the USB connector deformed (the flash drive was baked with the plastic on top, so it bent down) and I could no longer plug the flash drive in. However, after baking it again, but this time with the plastic on the bottom, the deformation corrected itself and the data on the flash drive was still fine. Lastly, I baked it for 1 hour at 400° F and the data did get corrupted (not really sure to what extent - none of the 300 100MB files on the drive had the correct hash). However, new copies of the data wrote and read correctly to/from the flash drive, so it seems that the flash drive may still be usable, though I personally don't intend on trusting it any more. So, I think these are fine to use for storing data in a fireproof safe, but (1) store them with the plastic in the USB connector on the bottom and (2) maybe store a couple copies of the data - both on separate flash drives and within the same flash drive just to be more cautious.

Finally, a QUALITY flash drive!
First and foremost, this IS a USB 2.0 drive. Amazon has it listed as "3.0" in error. I knew this before placing by purchase. I was actually looking for a 2.0 flash drive of large 64GB capacity as the devices I am using are 2.0 only. It is not very easy to find large capacity 2.0 drives nowadays. It does not copy fast and I expected that as well. It took around 4 hours to copy 50GB of data to the drive. This is not bad at all for 2.0 speeds especially considering I was copying around 50,000 or so small files. The speed is not of a concern to me. It is the fact that it is able to complete the copy without disconnecting. I have some 3.0 flash drives from other manufacturers and some of these will actually disconnect in the middle of the copy. I am not sure why this is, but it is very annoying. I still do not think the 3.0 spec is as reliable as 2.0 drives. I have never had this happen with any 2.0 drives I have owned in the past. I also wanted a drive that was built to last. Everything now is made of cheap plastic and paper thin metal connectors. Or even worse, some companies use PLASTIC usb connectors! What were they thinking? This drive is a rock and you know it the moment you remove it from the packaging. It is extremely reliable and absurdly sturdy. I would suspect building these is costly Verbatim a premium and I don't expect production to continue because of this and because 2.0 flash drives are considered legacy products now. That said, pick them up while you can. I just purchased two more 64GB drives. Highly recommended.

Sturdy But Not Fast
This will do the job as long as you're not using it to transfer lots of data, where a faster drive speed would be more efficient. Definitely sturdy and well-made.

Feels tough, fast read/write
It's a ruggedized USB drive and fits that purpose well. Doesn't trade ruggedness for usability as a USB with good write speeds. It's very compact - a blessing and a curse, because I could see myself losing it if not attached to a keyring or lanyard, but does make it very useful as an everyday carry option.

Music Lover Helper
Perfect for the cheap like me who does not want to pay for premium music but wants it available easily. Hold lots of music too. I just wish it was a little shorter and did not stick out so much in car.

BUYER BEWARE: UNRELIABLE - PRONE TO CORRUPTION
I bought this Verbatim 64GB ToughMAX USB 2.0 Flash Drive on sale for $5 in July 2025. I didn't put it to use right away; I'd say probably 3 months later I started using it. At first I thought everything was great, BUT this is a case of "if it is too good to be true..." By January 2026, one of my regularly used files became corrupted. I realized this because I couldn't save any files to the drive. So, I scanned the drive with Check Disk, and lo-and-behold, many, many files were corrupted! I didn't notice any sooner because most of the drive is basically cold storage while I was regularly accessing a projects folder. I used up almost 40GB of 57GB*, too! After reading the many other reviews on here of this very product, I cannot believe Verbatim would put their name on this GARBAGE! I have favored Verbatim for over 20 years. I won't give them another chance, not even for $5, because I essentially wasted my money on this purchase. I am disgusted by corporate greed; this product should have been recalled, and instead they put it on a fire-sale. I would give this product less than 1 star if it was an option. For reference, this item was supposed to replace a 16GB Sandisk flash drive that was used pretty much daily for 5+ years. I didn't even get 5 months out of this. I am a computer nerd, so I am very sure this has nothing to do with user error, and the many other negative reviews seem to support this is a widespread issue. *** One thing I want to point out, I've seen more than a few of the review for this product of people claiming they have the high 50s GB of data and feel they were short changed because it is a 64 GB device.... Yes that is how it works once the drive is formatted. That is normal and you should read up if you don't believe me.
