Over an hour! Great for aggressive chewers
I ordered these a couple weeks along with a few other things for my two aggressive chewer dogs. Up until today the bone to keep them occupied the longest is a buffalo cheek roll. They do also spend some significant time with bully sticks, but often leave them after about 30 minutes because they canโt eat them easily. Eventually they do go back to the bully stick and they can eat those where other dogs in the past have only chewed them for weeks without ever actually eating them until gone. I tell you that to let you know how easy it is for them to chew and eat a bone or stick that most dogs we have had usually donโt. For reference our dogs are: 1 chocolate lab and 1 Aussie mix. We gave them these bones this morning. Itโs been 1.5 hours and they have not left their beds. Occasionally they look over at the other one to see what they have ...as if to see if whatever the other has is being โeatenโ or are they working as hard as they are lol. Hope that makes sense! All that said I donโt give them many bones that arenโt easily digestible because I worry they will swallow a portion of rawhide or something else non digestible and have issues. Marrow bones are my exception because they seem to not splinter and usually once they get the middle stuff out they just leave them and never go back. I tend to buy the marrow bones in a shorter length than these because in the past the longer ones have not lasted any longer- because if they canโt get the marrow in the middle they often just give up. These are longer and whatever flavoring is on the outside appears to be good enough for them to keep working at getting the stuff in the middle. They do have a smell. Itโs pretty strong. I canโt see any staining, but my dogs beds are those kind that are raised off the ground and canvas and tan in color (see photos) so it might not be showing up clearly to me right now. Iโll update if any splintering occurs, but as of right now these are a 5 star for us and will be ordering again. We actually have three dogs (one very small dog that isnโt interested in these type of bones) and having the two busy for over an hour is nice for first thing in the morning when we are getting the kids ready for school and us ready for work etc. only thing I can say that I donโt like about marrow bones and this isnโt really a negative to the bones- they are heavy and when my dogs drop them on the hardwood floor some have left a ding in my floor. Like little dents that will have to be sanded and stained. This used to happen a lot if I allowed them on the couch with them and they dropped them from a higher level. Now it only happens a if they are โfightingโ (actually wrestling or playing) over one and it gets dropped.

Great bone, dogs approve highly!
What can I say about dog bones? They are bones, and are VERY sturdy. I believe they are femurs, bones that were weight-bearing are much thicker than, say, rib bones. I have four Collies in the house, and they LOVE these! They are smoked for lots of great flavor, have bits and scrsps of connective tissue like tendons, for them to work on, and most have marrow. Of course at that size they can only go so far into marrow, but they work on them! They are quite large, large enough for most dogs except maybe the giants like a Presa Canario or a Tibetan Mastiff. If you have a chewers, these will keep them busy for quite awhile. Much better than the white, flavorless ones, stripped of all meaty bits and not smoked. My living room is like a cow graveyard. Femurs, thick long straight bones with grooves ends (no idea what the bone is named. It is big and it is cow), sliced knuckle bone steaks, etc. litter the floor. This is good buy for medium to large dogs. A chihuahua or Shih Tzu would not be able to handle them.

Nice bone for extreme chewers
I've never bought a real bone for my dog so I relied on hints and tips from other reviewers and I'm so glad I took the dive and bought these bones. Pros -heavy duty, these bones are heavy my Golden is 50lbs and he can handle it just fine I'm not sure a 10lb dog would have the same success. My boy is a 7 month old and he CHEWS I mean toys are destroyed within a few minutes kind of chews and he's been on the same bone for a week now with no splintering or breakage. These bones are basted with flavoring so they are messy at first, I laid a towel down and let my guy go to town it took him an hour to lick the bone clean so once the basting is off it can be chewed on carpet etc with no mess. After a chew session I check the bone for sharp areas and if there is a simple butter knife will scrape it smooth. overall these bones are a good price for a quality item just make sure the dog isn't chewing the bone unattended because you never know what could happen. Below are a basted bone pic and a clean bone pic

Updated! Great product, we have 20-100 pound dogs!
UPDATE: 5-star now, they resumed their discount price! We have been buying these bones for about a year, for $7.79/2. Recently they went up to $12.79 ...boo! Now I get them from Menards for about the same $8. Pet stores carry these too, except they are about $5-6 each. One star reduced for price change. Size is great for our 25 pounder up to our 70 pounder. All our dogs are adopted mixed breed dogs, some are strong chewers, and these usually last beyond the point when all the "gunk" is chewed off. Speaking of that, have your dogs in an empty crate or outside until they are chewed clean. Afterwards, use them to fill with anything they like. We keep calories low by stuffing banana in them, just a chunk, and maybe a dab of peanut butter in the middle of bone to keep them excited. Pro tip: freeze them for extra long enjoyment. Caution: occasionally they do break and then should be thrown away, but usually it doesn't happen until chewed for a while. My smaller dog can't break them any further, so she gets any broken large pieces to continue to chew. The larger dogs will break further and sometimes eat. They should not be allowed to swallow the pieces. They do smell, but isn't that to be expected? Overall we find these to be a great high reward treat for special occasions or when we need them to be entertained for at least an hour.

Good Bones for My Good Dogs.
I bought 4 packages of the 2 pack large bones thinking they would be a good size for my dogs. The picture of the bone package between the two hands of a person drawn made me think they were not much longer than 6 inches but I didn't imagine how large they were around when I got them. I was surprised at how BIG these bones are. Three of my mid size dogs have no problem chewing on them but it is almost comical watching my 10 pound chi mix trying to chew on one of these. He just stands with one leg holding it down while he attempts to chew it. I've never laughed so hard in my life. And he guards "his" bone like it's a precious jewel and I guess to him it is. I'm very pleased by these bones. They're not greasy like some bones and I think they will last a long time. I think next time I may order smaller though, at least one package for my chi mix. I also like that each bone was individually wrapped in plastic wrap. I don't like to give my dogs rawhide chews because of all the chemicals they use to bleach them nice and white. I want my dogs healthy and happy and these bones give them the chewing bliss all dogs crave. My chi mix Inky with his bone and my small shepard mix Pepper, two of my dogs enjoying their bones in the photo's below.

Excellent and durable. Great value!!!
Update:. I've had these for well over 2 months now and they are still in amazing shape! My aggressive chewer still hasn't been able to break of any part of the bone! No splintering either. We got our first barkbox a month ago. Out of the 4 toys included, only one remains intact n it's on its last leg. These bones are chewed on daily and still like new. I will definitely buy again if they ever get through these...lol. I've also recommended these to friend and family because I'm so impressed. The pictures are from today.... over 2 months of chewing....amazing! You can also put a dab of peanut butter or whatever you like inside it! Love these!!!! Btw my dogs are German Shepherd Mixes. Aggressive chewer is almost 8 months old and over 60lbs. Other is 2 years old and just under 50lbs I bought these for my two dogs, one of which is an aggressive chewer. I've had them a week and although they've gotten all the marrow out and the outside licked clean, bones are still intact almost like new. Great value... Will definitely buy again

Solid and durable, but I believe this product made my dog and my wife both sick.
Gave my aggressive chewer pit mix one of these bones after my wife opened the package and took a look at one. Structurally they looked hefty and solid and seemed unlikely to splinter which is always something to watch for with bones, especially cooked or roasted ones. Unfortunately a day after having chomped on the bone for a few hours my dog seemed uncharacteristically listless and uninterested in treats and otherwise behaving sickly. She consumed no other treats or food or other stuff out of the ordinary, the bone was the only thing different she'd had all week. Around the same time my wife, also not having eaten anything out of the ordinary, got a case of stomach upset and the runs, possibly from touching the bone and then a glass or utensil without washing her hands first. Salmonella or some other pathogen? No idea. It's been a couple of days and my dog appears to have recovered, as has my wife. Given some further research into the Pet 'n Shape brand elsewhere I don't feel comfortable trusting it, especially now that it seems linked to her sickness. In case there was some surface bug blanching the bone for a while in boiling water might help, but I'm not willing to take the chance. I'm tossing these and will likely avoid these type bones altogether in favor of fresh bones from the butcher similarly blanched before giving them to my dog as a treat. Side note, the review question about "flavor" is difficult to gauge without tasting the bones which I certainly don't plan on doing.

Overall great bones the dog loves and still chews daily
First off I have a pit/boxer mix, male, two years old. He is an aggressive chewer for sure. He has destroyed drywall and any kind of wood molding he can get his teeth on. I have been trying every rawhide and toy I can find at petsmart/Walmart/target, all the usual places. I finally found deer antlers work great but are difficult to get year round. I started searching online and found these. The product came in two days as promised. Both bones are greasy and smell but not in a bad way. I gave one to my dog and he instantly loved it. The first few hours he cleaned all the baked on stuff off of it. The bone is still in tact after a week of daily chewing. The bone is white like a normal rawhide and does not have any of the brown stuff on it anymore. He still chews on the bone daily and it has kept him occupied from finding other things to chew like my shoes. Overall I'm very happy and will order another pair if he ever does get through these two. I would recommend to anyone with a dog even if they do not chew a lot. He has a sensitive stomach and never got sick at all. No diarrhea either. Does what it is suppose to and seems to last long.
