The stitching is beautiful. If you have a dog who likes to scratch and make his spot comfortable it will snag it so you might want to put something over it before your dog gets up on it. Purchased a queen to be used on a full bed, based on the overall height of mattress & foundation, and to get the drop that I wanted. Also, it does not slide off the bed, as mentioned in other reviews, but the underside is a silky satin, so the blanket material under it is probably preventing the slippery slide.
