As I'm writing this, the album hasn't arrived yet, but I've heard all songs beforehand so I could review it. Girls' Generation's Japanese discography is, in my opinion, way better than their Korean discography, although I do like all Korean singles and even a few album tracks, but I'm more of a Japanese fan. Now, let's get to the songs:1. Genie: Very good choice for a debut song. It's catchy, sexy and powerful.2. Gee: Of course their signature song had to be next! Super cute and adorable, not tomention catchy as heck!3. Mr. Taxi: Their 1st original Japanese song, and boy, is it something! Super powerful, energetic, and legendary!4. Oh!: This one manages to capture the cute appeal the original Korean version had very well! Sounds good even if the girls had outgrown the cute image in Japan before this.5. Run Devil Run: This song is the definition of sexy, without being too much. Very smooth and mesmerizing.6. Hoot: Ok I first found this Japanese version to be really awkward, compared to the amazing Korean version. But it has grown on me a little. It's good.7. The Boys: This song is special to me cuz the English version was the 1st MV I had ever seen from SNSD. The Japanese version doesn't disappoint!8. Paparazzi: This song was an amazing surprise for a lot of people. Nobody expected their 2nd original single to be as awesome as it is.9. Flower Power: My favorite song from their 2nd Japanese Album. The beat, the chorus, the dance, it all blew me away!10. Love & Girls: I thought they were done with the cute concepts, but they proved that they can still make them without being too annoyingly cute.11. Galaxy Supernova: The MV for this was spectacular! And the song sounds like something that would play on U.S radio, way better than what mainstream American music is now a days.12. Mr.Mr. :The Korean version was their last single as 9 members, and it was an amazing comeback! Sexy, confident, and brilliant, the Japanese version isn't far behind!13. Chain Reaction: this song and Run Devil Run were both originally demos by Ke$ha, but SNSD make them their own thing. This one is very mature and unlike any other SNSD Japanese song.14. Indestructible: This is a heartwarming ballad about the unbreakable bonds they share with fans and each other, which turn into heartbreaking & ironic given that ex member Jessica Jung was kicked out of the group 2 months after this song's release. Gives me chills and makes me cry sometimes.15. Divine: The extension of Indestructible, as member Tiffany once put it. This is even more heartbreaking than the previous song. It's about being divine together with that special someone. The part that always makes me cry is when Jessica shouts: "We are always one!", and a tear rolls down her cheek while hitting her high note. This was the last Japanese single as 9 members.16. Show Girls: After 2 beautiful yet bittersweet ballads, they decided to end this album on a very high note. This song sounds exactly as the title suggests, a Broadway Muscial style number that gets you up and dancing along! Really great song!The DVD contains the highly emotional Divine Music Video, the heartwarming Indestructible Lyric Video, the making of the Divine video, and the making of the album's cover and booklet photoshoot. Basically, this this their last material as 9 members. But nothing is lost, as the reveal of a leaked video for Catch Me If You Can, the group's first single as 8, revealed that Jessica was a part of the video. Hopefully if they release a Japanese Album before they inevitably disband, maybe we'll see the song and video as bonus content. A guy can dream, right? :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you are a huge SNSD fan - then this is a must have item. *by R***K on Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2016* TL;DR: If you are a huge SNSD fan - then this is a must have item.I generally rate my kpop stuff in 4 areas - the packaging, the quality of the photo/booklets, any bonuses and of course the actual discs.This is the CD+DVD edition - the standard edition only comes with the CD where as this has a bonus music video/making of DVD. Personally, I like to collect the official MV and behind the scene videos, so I am happy this came in a CD+DVD edition.The packaging of this is pretty good for a limited edition item - it's not very unique (eg. their Girls' Generation Japan 1st Album limited edition was designed like a make up box) but its definitely helps justify the cost. The entire set comes in a plastic case, which is inside a resealable plastic bag. There ultimately is another box housing the mini figures and the CD booklet.The CD booklet is the full length of the set - about two CD cases wide. And this is really the main reason why I bought it - there are only a handful of pictures here - but each one is an amazing shot of the girls and printed on excellent quality paper.Now on to the bonus item - they are mini figures of all the SNSD members - which can be placed into your phone's headphone jack. Obviously, you wouldn't use it that way since it'll probably fall or break off. Instead, they sit on a black plastic display stand titled "Girls' Generation". The display case also comes with a cardboard background with their entire japanese discography - it is pretty cool as I've never seen any other set have such a thing. The only con here is the display case is missing each member's names - that would have made this perfect.Ultimately, I'm happy I got this set. The CD booklet has awesome pictures of SNSD and the mini figures with display case is pretty cool. I paid about $70 for it, which I think is a great price for it. I would argue that anything more than $90-$100 is too much however.
