(16" on-centre)** A: The recommended bead size is 3/8". At 16" on center you should expect the adhesive to cover approximately 13 panels. **Q: Would you recommend to use for hardwood or engineered hardwood flooring?** A: This is AdvanTech sub floor adhesive. It is used on the subfloor only, and the joints of the subfloor. This is not to glue down hardwood flooring, as that needs to expand and contract. I hope this answers your question, as it is not real clear to me exactly your question and how you plan to use it. If you are using sub floor over an existing floor, it will stick to it for sure, but if the finish of the old floor is not adhering well then the advanTech will come loose as a result.
