Clean, sustained energy & focus
I'm a person who has switched between different pre-workout supplements over and over again. Some left me feeling too jittery, to the point whereI became nauseated & it was difficult to focus on my workout. Others became weak over time as I built up tolerance to them. All the while, I hadn't been paying too much attention to what I was actually putting in my body. Many of the pre-workout supplements on the market are not much more than an overload of caffeine and beta-alanine which gives you a temporary rush of energy, followed by a major crash. In addition, the majority of them contain proprietary blends, meaning you don't truly know the amount of each ingredient. In my search for a "cleaner" pre-workout, I came across Vintage Blast. The price was right, there were no proprietary blends, and it had a great ingredient profile. The main ingredient is L-Citrulline Malate, which has been shown to improve blood levels of Arginine even better than supplementing Arginine itself. It also contains D-Aspartic Acid, a natural testosterone booster. I used the product for the first time today, and felt a world of difference compared to the pre-workout supplement I was previously using. Upon taking it & driving to the gym, I felt no jitters or uneasy feeling which is something I was used to with all pre-workouts. Once I stretched out and was ready to begin excercising, the energy and focus was there. After about 45 minutes, I still had a sustained level of energy, but would get additional "bursts" which I assume is the 2nd stage taking effect. I was able to push my workout harder with shorter rest periods in between. Vintage Blast is an excellent pre-workout that tastes amazing, and Old School Labs has undoubtedly gained my trust as a consumer. I look forward to trying out the rest of their product line.

So far, so good!
I am a relative newbie to the PWS game, but am a seasoned athlete in the gym setting (heavy weights, powerlifting, etc). When I noticed my workouts suffering and I was struggling to make it through lifts I used to have an easy time with, I decided I needed some help. I started taking Cellucor C4, being this had the most-solid reviews I could find that wouldn't blow my mind out of the water. I am a coffee drinker, 4-6 cups per day, so I am not sensitive to caffeine. With C4, I did notice a decent "pump", and was lifting stronger and longer. It felt good! After about a month, I started to fatigue again, and don't even get me started on the crash afterward. I never did get used to the taste (only tried fruit punch), just way too sweet and made me gag. I never got a true surge of energy or the pump I was looking for, and I never experienced the "tingles" some users report. Looking into other options, I came across Old School Labs Vintage Blast. What drew me to their product was the inclusion of the "2 stages": one to get you going, and one to KEEP you going. I've been taking this supplement for about a week now, and I'm impressed! I get a better boost/pump, and am finishing my workouts stronger than on C4 without the fatigue. And I don't really crash afterward, either. A little, but that may be because I've been up since 4 am and NOTHING should be up since 4 am. The taste is spectacular - blueberry lemonade. I feel like I'm drinking an actual lemonade, not some yucky pre-workout. The only downfall is the fact you have to drink it with 14-16 oz of water, which can hit the stomach a little hard only 15-30 min prior to exercising. So far, I'm very pleased with this product and will be sure to buy again!

Great product, but pricey.
I have been lifting weights for a little over a year. During this time, I have tried various pre-workouts...C4, The Curse, 1.M.R, ON PRE-, Arnold Iron Pump...these are just a few. Vintage Blast ranks as one of the better pre-workouts that I have used. 1. The packaging is pretty awesome. Not that that matters to anyone, but I just like it and wanted to give the company kudos for the design. It got me to stop and look at it. 2. It tastes really good for a pre-workout. Slightly chalky, but with a clear blueberry lemonade flavor. For a lot of people flavor is not a big deal. But if it is for you, trust that you will not have an issue drinking this stuff on the regular. 3. Performance is solid! The first day I only took half a scoop. The affects came on slowly. I took it about 20 minutes before I started my workout. I didn't really feel it for my first couple of moves, but by the third set (about 30-35 minutes in) I was feeling it. Definitely helped push more weight and kept me focussed. Lasted throughout my workout and beyond...about an hour. The next day I took a full scoop...and It got my motor going strong! Took less time to kick in. I started feeling it after about 15 minutes. After 25 minutes it was full on go time! Definitely did what it was supposed to do. Got me focused, got a great pump, and helped me push weight! Also, this stuff did not give me that itchy sensation (which is nice). If you take a half scoop you don't get that initial RUSH, but with a full scoop, it will pretty much slap you in the face! Now...having said all this, I don't particularly get the "two-stage" description? For me, this stuff lasted about as long as most other good pre-workouts. I would compare it to C4 or 1.M.R. for performance and lasting effect. Felt really strong about 3/4 of the way through my workout (typically a 2 hour session), but by the end...I was beat, which is stat quo. Now, I just started using this, so I cannot say how quickly my body will adapt to it. With the C4 and 1.M.R. it took about 2 weeks before I had to start using a larger dose to get the same affect...not sure about this stuff yet. All in all it is a really good product. But considering the fact that you only get 20 servings for the price, I have to give it a 4. There are pre-workouts out there that are just as good that get you 10 more servings at that price point. Now...if you care about the ingredients and the product being all natural or if you are a vegetarian/vegan, then this stuff is TOPS! Old School Labs has a great product here. If you are curious...try it! You definitely won't be disapointed!

Mixes, tastes, digests, and performs very well. Similar to ON's Pre but trades D-Aspartic Acid for Creatine
I'm 30 yrs old, male, my interests related to your product preworkout are for powerlifting & cycling specifically time trialing. * I have no idea how you refer to one batch or one product of your preworkout. Bottle? Tub? I'm gonna go with tub. It just means your 1x20 serving preworkout. Preworkout Volume 7/10 - 20 servings which ends up being more like 15 I'm guessing if you heaping scoop is kinda low. I would really like a months supply in one tub, but I know that's a cost balance to appear to be cheaper or whatever. Just saying, one months supply in one tub is ideal for me. Taste - 9/10 , Your preworkout has a light taste with good texture and after taste. It's consistent in taste throughout my first sip to the last, the flavor I have is vintage blast LOT 1606366. Flavor - 10/10 Really enjoyed the flavor like I said it's light and not over powering but not bitter or sour (unless you do not add enough water). Something I think a lot of great preworkouts get wrong is not only how it tastes in one take but how you enjoy the product over time. For example, I really like MusclePharm's Assault preworkout I think the ingredients are mostly worth the costs and price is right and the flavor is even good. But after you drink one tub of the preworkout or even prior to a tub being completed I can barely bring myself to keep drinking it. I initially think the taste to be excellent until i've had it 20 times if this makes sense. I'm hoping Vintage Blast will be good for many tubs. Aftertaste - 8/10 , It is NOT chalky, bitter or sour. It is appealing and enjoyable if the water is cold enough. Mix-ability - 6/10 so far ( there is some of the powder which doesnt turn to solution as quickly as the rest of the scoop, I'm unsure what ingredient this would be ). I often have to pour more water and shake it again to get the everything. This is probably to me not using enough water. Ingredients. 8.5/10. I like the supporting micro's, why I ultimately bought your product was 5g of citrulline malate, 2g of dasparticacid, and 150mg +/- of caffeine with 25mg synephrine. I think 1g of beta alanine is very under dosed to have much effect, same with 1g of arginine and 250mg of carnitine. It's not obvious to me how that's useful in anyway but I also am not a Dr or have done enough research to build a supplement. What I would like to see is an option of added 3g creatine and another 1.5g of beta alanine. But the tingle effect from beta alanine could put some people off if they dont know what it is. Creatine is also extremely cheap and buying it seperate to add your own is easy. How I experience your product I'm not really sure how to break this down. .. It doesnt amp me up or get me motivated to go to the gym the way some preworkouts do, particularly c4 by cellucor. But once I'm there I have a great workout, much better than without it. I experience a good assisted energy for all my lifts. I do notice more concentration energy, and being maybe more vascular which I love. If my rep ranges and carbs were higher I'm sure the pump factor would be real.

Works great whether I'm weightlifting or doing cardio!
I recently tried the Old School Labs Ultimate 2 Stage Pre Workout, and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations. This pre-workout provides an incredible surge of energy. Within minutes, I felt more awake and ready to tackle an intense workout. The two-stage formula ensures a sustained release, so there was no sudden crash afterward. Along with physical energy, my mental focus sharpened significantly. It was easier to concentrate on my exercises and stay motivated throughout the session. Overall, the Old School Labs Ultimate pre-workout is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enhance their workout performance. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting, this product will help you push through and get the results you desire.

Reliable pre-workout but note the formula change on some flavors
I’ve been using Old School Labs Vintage Blast as my go-to pre-workout for over 13 years (since around 2012–2013), and it’s consistently been a product I trust. The effects are quick and energy pump I get has always been reliable, especially with flavors like Blueberry Lemonade. It’s been part of my almost daily routine for a long time, and overall I still think it’s a great pre-workout with solid flavor and performance. That said, I’ve noticed a change with Strawberry Kiwi formula. Since the change (which appears to include ZumXR), it just doesn’t provide the same boost or pump that I’ve come to expect from this product. While it may be easier on the stomach for some, in my experience it doesn’t deliver the same pre-workout benefits as the other flavors. I’ll continue sticking with Blueberry Lemonade, but I do hope they consider revisiting the original Strawberry Kiwi formula.

BUY IT NOW! The best out there.
I had been looking for a Pre-workout that didnt have Taurine, was not full of proprietary blends, and was not full of a bunch of usless ingredients. I stumbled on this product after search through Amazon for a bit and was relieved. Finally a product that looks good and is not a bunch of hype and fake science. I worked at a large well know vitamin store for about two years so I have seen a lot of different supplements. But everyone that came out was either missing something or too much of a bunch of usless crap. First off, it tastes great. It gives me a great buzz. I am not a stim junkie but I do drink a lot of coffee. It was solid energy for a straight 2 hours. Most would wear off in an hour or so but with that micro-encapsulated caffeine it lastes for a solid two and probably longer. When I took it within minutes I was jacked dancing around my living room. I got to the gym and all I can say is intense. I started on the bench and put my usual weight on and pumped out 12 easy. So I decided to add and extra 25 on each side and killed a second set. Added another 25 on each side and killed a third set. The pump was great. I felt huge but not to the point that it hindered my flexibility. I went on to kill every exersice for a solid hour. The whole time I am thinking this is what I have been searching for. Ive been looking for a Pre-workout for like 2 years. The ingrdients are great. Most are completly proven. And the D-aspartic acid is a good test booster. So really your getting two products in one. And the best part not taurine. My mothers a nurse and some of her friends that work in the ER have been telling her that most all the heart attack, panic attack, and stroke victims are getting younger and younger and most are in some way related to taurine. It raises your blood pressure. I have high blood pressure so I can not take that. Everything is in perfect quantities. I know i am just rambling now. But it is hard not to when you have a product this good. Ive been using it for about two weeks 4 or 5 days a week and I have not had to double dose or anything like that. TRY IT AND YOU WILL NEVER NEED TO TRY ANOTHER.

New Formula Change = Bad Taste + Lost The Energy Boost + Shrink-flation compared to the Old Formula
I just ran out of my "black top" "Old Formula" Blueberry Lemonade canister and just opened and prepared a batch of the new "White top" "New Formula" of Blueberry Lemonade. This is a huge disappointment. The flavor profile is way too sweet and nothing like the old formula. It also has a really unpleasant artificial sweetener after-taste that the old "black-top" formula didn't have. Additionally, the effect has totally changed. There is no immediate "lift" in energy that I got with the old formula. Everything I bought the old formula for has now changed and for the worse. Also they have decreased the volume of the container from 10.8 oz (old black top formula) to 8.5 oz (new white top formula) and simply accompanied the new container/formula with a smaller scoop. See how that works? You still get 20 scoops (servings) per container but the actual volume of the scoop has decreased. Even using the old bigger scoop I did not feel the effects of the old formula. This is really disappointing. I no longer like the taste and for some reason I don't feel the usual "boost" in energy I have reliably always felt for the past 7 years. Historically, this is a major problem...with manufacturers that create a successful formula and a large, long-term following feel the need to "tweak" the formula in order for some marketing or "product-research" employee to justify their salary. Just like Coca Cola that revised a successful formula to "stay current" but had such a backlash that they had to re-release the original formula under "coke classic", it sadly appears these vendors will never learn. My profile says that I have purchased this product/flavor 87 times! That's brand loyalty! Why can't you be loyal to your customers and keep the old formula that they love? Why do you feel the need to tweak things, only to diminish a great product? I will be contacting the company for a refund and will begin an unfortunate search for a new pre-workout. This is so unnecessary. Companies will never learn this simple lesson.
