For that added protection during those unsure moments, Injen Technology’s Hydro-Shield pre-filters are race proven material manufactured from highly durable polyester. Uniform micron openings allow the filtering of debris .005” or larger. The Hydro-Shield pre-filters are factory treated using an embedded hydrophobic process, which offers consistent airflow, water repellency and maintains horsepower gains. (Please note that this item is water repellent, not water proof) item cannot be shipped to California

Review: Installation was easy, and I will inspect it every few months - The hydro-shield has offered me much protection in the last 3 months as I have driven through some very rainy parts of south Texas. It also keeps my cone filter clean during normal driving, but the hydrophobic protection is why it should be purchased. Installation was easy, and I will inspect it every few months. I have heard that the hydrophobic coating wears off after a few months. That seems reasonable. If I have to buy 1 every 6 months, I won't be disappointed. After all, the goal here is to protect my engine from hydrolocking. So far so good! My friend just purchased his for his TL Type-S and is very pleased.

**Q: will this fit my injen sp-1570blk sp series short ram intake**
A: Fit filters with 6" diameter base x 5" height x 5" diameter top. This is simply a hydro shield for a filter and not a filter itself.

**Q: Will this fit my Stillen generation 3 dual intake on 2013 Infiniti g37xs?**
A: Based on what I've seen on google if it's the ultra long cone it wont fit if its the regular Stillen intake then should fit perfectly.

**Q: Does this fit nicely on an S13 Silvia Apexi filter?**
A: Measure it and go by the outer diameter

**Q: Anyone have this on a srt intake for the lexus is300?**
A: it fit couple different filter I had like autozone spectra filter, aem filter, and injen filter It has a stretchable band when you slip it on but it only stretches so far.

The shield fit my intake cone perfectly (please check the product details) and add's a nice red color to complement my valve cover. The product does exactly what it was designed to and that's to keep water from being sucked into the filter. I have run my engine and poured water over the filter with this installed and the water simply beads up and flows off or eventually evaporates. Great for CAI systems where rain can hit the filter and offers complete peace of mind.
