Set up easily and satisfactory. A heavy laptop
This was for my daughter and she is very pleased with it. It does tend to be heavy so you would not want to be transporting it far.

Not 2.7ghz!
I'm giving this laptop a 4 star rating because the computer is good. If you want the cpu at 1.1ghz. It is advertised incorrectly at 2.7ghz and this is not true. I bought this under the illusion that it would be useful to me due recording music which is the main reason for its use. I feel cheated if time is i live in Ibiza and needed an English computer and keyboard I had to order from UK and get it sent to Spain. Having to send it back is taking forever and I need to find another computer once my refund is complete! The laptop itself is light, stylish, has a great screen, the speakers are tinny and worthless but I don't actually need them so irrelevant. Everything about dell laptops is generally great (from my experience) but misinformation has stopped me buying another. Be aware!

Very happy so far
Bought as a replacement for a much loved Toshiba with same spec so far very pleased especially at the price I paid for it

battery doesn't last and screen keeps going blank on its own and i have rarely been using it.
price is good but lots of faults in it slow, battery doesn't last long also screen goes black in middle of using it and have to force restart. should have read reviews before buying it.

THIS DOES NOT HAVE A BACKLIT KEYBOARD
Although it has nice specifications, this arrived as a non-backlit keyboard laptop, contrary to what Amazon advertise (see photo). If you are not too bothered about the non-backlit keyboard, the rest are adequate for simple everyday tasks, such as e-mails and web browsing. The DVD optical drive is a bonus, along with 8GB of RAM and 1TB of hard drive. The processor, however (although Intel's new Silver family), is quite slow and it may struggle with multi-tasking. The biggest problem is Amazon's misrepresentation, as this laptop is A NON BACKLIT KEYBOARD laptop.

Does the job
Functional, soundly built laptop. Have always been satisfied with Dell Computers, & this one is working well & has everything I need. I use it for writing, banking, some personal research, emails, etc. I am not a gamer, so cannot comment on its suitability for this purpose. It is ideal for my needs, & I'm very happy with it.
