Hope this helps. it is of a good quality , i was expecting it to be larger OD but when i received it i was extremely happy to find its thinner then the mic cables im used to , which is usually around 5mm. if 3.5MM is to small you can always add one layer of good heat shrink , use the type with inner glue . makes for a very nice strong seal. **Q: Can some one tell me the outer diameter of the 2-core 28awg cable? thanks!** A: I measured the diameter at .135" with my micrometer. **Q: Do you know what the OD of the wire is? The shielding is just twisted wire, not foil lined, but that doesn't seem to have hurt anything - I hooked up the shield to ground, and the guitar I wired with this is very quiet; as quiet as any I have ever heard. I also ended up using this inside the body, since it made for a super slick/neat looking wiring job to just have single cables between the switches and such.Prior to this, I had used some very expensive name-brand wire that was garbage; much finer gauge, and would tear extremely easy.
