Perhaps the difference is because Liana asked this question in 2013, and maybe they make the product differently now. If it didn't contain BPA, the person responding would simply say, "This product does not contain BPA." However, they said, "The products for children are BPA compliant." However, I didn't ask them if the product was "BPA compliant." I asked if it contained BPA. It is not illegal to put BPA in products, so this toy can, and probably does contain BPA, but can also be compliant with the law at the same time.Annoying. Guess I'm taking this toy out of my shopping cart. Also annoying that companies are sneaky and dishonest. Rather than just answering your question in a straight forward manner, they cross their fingers and hope that the person asking the question lacks reading comprehension skills. It’s not an overwhelming amount of toys, instead it’s a rather classy and high quality item with just what you need. Would be amazing as a gift! The fruits and veggies are ‘small’ in size, which I think is perfect for toddler hands. We’ve borrowed bigger sets before and that was no good, also because then the food then simply doesn’t fit into a play kitchen.
