Billed as a throwback to the boyband era of the 90s, The Wanted are an energetic outfit of four British and one Irish musician that makes great music.  The opener, "Glad You Came," is a driving love song with the catchy chorus, "The sun goes down, The stars come out & all that counts is here & now, My universe will never be the same."  The second track mines similar territory, a pumping energetic love song, "When your lips touch mine, it's the kiss of life; I know that it's a little bit frightening; We might as well be playing with lightning."  "I Want It All" slows the pace with strong soaring vocals, "I'd do anything to see you through & if I fall my heart holds on to you."  "Lie to Me" acknowledges the rewards of duplicity with a great feel-slow-but-sounds-fast beat and aching vocals, "Smiling like there's nothing wrong; You're good at smiling; so keep it plastered on until the morning."  The set concludes with a sparkling track, "Gold Forever."  "Battleground" succeeds because of the strength of the material and the strong vocals.  Enjoy!
