Litti Pritti is a British brand with a strong heritage in 1890. Litti Pritti offers a wide range of products for children from birth to 8 years old. They have a variety of classic toys, nursery furniture and stationery, as well as a range of dolls and accessories. Litti Pritti was founded in 1890 by Hannah Litti and her husband John Pritt. The company was originally based in the East End of London, with the first factory being located on the Bethnal Green Road. In 1891, Hannah’s son, John Litti joined the business as a junior partner and began developing toys, including a doll that had one arm longer than the other. In 1892, Litti Pritti produced their first wooden toy, which was an armless doll with a cloth body and a velvet head covering. In 1898, Litti Pritti started producing fabric dolls. In 1900, they started producing cloth dolls with movable arms and legs. Litti Pritti started making dolls with mohair hair in 1902 and they began producing cloth dolls with button eyes in 1908. In 1911, Litti Pritti began making cloth dolls with mohair stuffing instead of cotton stuffing. In 1914 the company relocated to Park Royal and then to Greenford in 1919. In 1920 they opened their first branch store at Marble Arch. In 1922, they acquired the rights to produce soft-topped baby rattles and began producing vinyl baby rattles in 1930 after moving back to Oxford Circus. In 1932, they moved to new premises near London Zoo where they produced their first cloth baby doll with elasticised limbs and cloth baby clothes. In 1950, they introduced their first design of vinyl baby doll with movable limbs and had their first vinyl doll dress designed by Miss Mary Quant in 1952. In 1955, they introduced their first design of vinyl nursery furniture.
